"A Haunted Mansion, Revisited"

 Welcome!

I'm running a little late this month with my blog post since Greg and I just recently got to revisit a very haunted house, the Octagon Mansion, in Wytheville, Virginia. According to some people, it's supposed to be the scariest place in Virginia!

On May 21, 2022, I wrote another blog post about the mansion which was built in 1870. The post was entitled "Haunted! Tours." At that time it was a history museum, and they occasionally offered special paranormal tours. Greg and I just took pictures of the outside of the house when we went by. You might want to check out that post for yourself. One of the pictures in that post is paranormal!

As far as I know, no one lives in the mansion now. The last person who lived there witnessed a lot of paranormal activity, like doors closing on their own, and objects flying across the room. Also, sometimes he heard voices and even saw ghostly figures.

Apparently, the reason the mansion is so haunted is because that during the Civil War, there was an intense battle when 300 soldiers died, etc. in the area where the mansion is now located. Not only that, but there is a little girl who died during the polio epidemic in the 1950's that also haunts the mansion. As if that weren't enough, there are also spirits from the graveyard that is underneath the property!

Since we couldn't go into the mansion, we just took several pictures of the outside, just as we did in 2022, to see if we could get anything paranormal with our cameras.

After we got home, we looked carefully, but we didn't see anything strange with the photos I took. However, we noticed that there was ectoplasm in one of Greg's photos of the front porch-

This cropped-off picture shows the ectoplasm which is beneath, and to the left of this chair.

I wish we could have gone into the mansion when it was open, since I'm sure we could have gotten several paranormal photographs then. Perhaps one day it will reopen, and we'll be right there with our cameras ready to photograph the paranormal!

I consulted a psychic about this property, and she said that it was a ghost magnet, that spirits congregate there. Some are even from Colonial days. They see themselves in their own time period.

Next month, I'm going to tell about a paranormal photograph that I decided never to put on my blog!

Eerie Spirit Photo!

 Welcome!

A few weeks ago, Greg and I went to Wytheville, Virginia on business. On the way back, we decided to stop at a convenience store. As we drove into the parking lot, I noticed some land and a few pretty trees growing on it. One of the trees was especially nice. I told Greg that I would like to stop by and photograph the one tree that I liked when we came back out of the store. (I try to photograph anything that looks interesting or unique since I sell downloads of some of my photographs on a stock photo website.)

When we came back out, a few minutes later, I noticed it was somewhat darker, around dusk. I was thankful that it wasn't any darker, and I quickly took several pictures.

I was really pleased with a couple of my photos.

This was my favorite one-

I really like the way the tree picture turned out. However, I never dreamed that it would have something that looked like a moon since there was actually no moon in that area! I had to conclude that it was a large orb! Also, notice that there is ectoplasm as well as other faint orbs near the "moon." In addition, there is light green ectoplasm on the tree on the right hand side of the photo. I believe it would be fair to say that this is an eerie spirit photo!

I can easily understand why there is all of this paranormal activity since this is actually a graveyard!

In my newly republished memoir, "Down Memory Lane," I have several photographs and a few new chapters. One of these chapters is entitled "Haunting Memories." This chapter, with spirit photographs, is about some of my paranormal adventures at different times in my life.

For more information about my memoir, as well as my paranormal book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," please see the widgets above. Both of these books are for sale on Amazon. My memoir is in both the paperback and the Kindle versions, and my paranormal book is just in the Kindle version.

Enjoy!

Moving Orbs!

 Welcome!

This "Spirit Photographs" blog post is quite unusual in that I'm featuring for the first time a paranormal video that someone sent me.

A few weeks ago, I found a message on my phone. The message wasn't very clear, so I didn't quite know what to expect when I returned the call. It was from a longtime friend, Mary, that I hadn't heard from in a while. She said that since Greg and I were experienced in ghostly matters, and since I had written the book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," * she thought that we could help her and her husband, John, to understand what was going on in their barn.

John has a new workshop in the barn, so they have a doorbell camera there to help protect the tools that he has in there. They started noticing unexplained balls of light moving around which the camera had recorded in the dark after he closes the door and leaves. Some of these balls of light were brighter than others, but they all move quickly. In the summer, they had thought that the balls were perhaps flying insects.

They sent me a still photo that John had taken of a video that their camera had recorded-

Notice the orb in the lower right of the photo. It's oval-shaped, and not very bright. The bright spots are just reflections.

Here's the intriguing video that they sent us-

This was really exciting for us since we've never before seen anything like this except on some of the paranormal TV shows. Greg and I both have the gift of taking paranormal still photos, but we've never tried taking videos. Maybe that's something we ought to investigate, to get into.

Also, as I've said before, we take ghostly photographs, but we need a psychic to interpret them for us.

So, I called Hawley, a gifted psychic, so I could let Mary and John know what was going on in their barn. She said that the orbs were good, harmless, and very positive which was great news! The orbs had very high, concentrated energy, and in fact, they were happy and protective, something like sprites or fairies. Boy, we should all be lucky enough to have energy like that around us! These fairies typically help animals and plants, although Mary said that there were no animals in the barn.

Mary seemed satisfied with the psychic's reading. I told her that the psychic had said that they could just ask the spirits to leave if they didn't want them there, but Mary said that they had already told them not to leave, that they liked them.

Anyway, it was good to hear from my friend, and I appreciate her and her husband letting me share their experience with my blog readers, and to let everyone know that not all paranormal activity is scary or evil, and that many times, spirits are just trying to help us out here on Earth.

While I had Hawley on the phone, I asked her about the ghostly story and the photo that I mentioned on my 10/16/21 blog post last month, entitled "A Ghostly Sighting, and More!"

Of the ghostly sighting that my relative, whom I'll call Jenny, told me about, Hawley said that the couple she saw didn't even see Jenny. They were in their own time period which was probably in the 1800's or 1900's. They lived in that area, and they were attending a funeral. A very sweet child in the family had died, and the child had held the family together. The couple was traumatized by the death. She said that Jenny was psychic, and that Jenny's sighting was really unusual and interesting. I'd like to thank Jenny for sharing her paranormal experience with me and the world!

I also asked Hawley about the photo I took of a park in Virginia. She said that spirits like to show themselves to me. She told me that the spirits in the photo were benign, not human, that they were fairies or wood nymphs.

Another strange thing about the park photo is that a few days after I'd talked with the psychic, I saw anther photo that another psychic photographer had on social media, and it looked very similar to mine! I couldn't believe it! It even had a large violet orb at the bottom of the photo like mine.

This is a very strange world!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The (Haunted) Tavern

Greg and I recently visited historic Abingdon, Virginia...

The Tavern

which has The Tavern that is the oldest historic building in Abingdon. The Tavern dates back to 1779, and in its long history, it has been many things, an inn, a post office, a private home, a bakery, as well as several other things including a hospital for both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War.

Oh, and did I mention that it was also haunted!

One evening, we stopped by The Tavern for dessert which was delicious...

Key Lime Pie

Afterwards, we got permission to take pictures to see if we could capture any paranormal activity with our cameras.

Before we got started, we talked with our server, Allison, to see if she knew anything about the ghostly goings-on there. She told us some very strange things that had happened to those that worked there-several had been touched, strange noises had been heard (voices, walking), etc. She said that a woman had been murdered in one of the upstairs rooms which was supposed to be the most haunted room in the building.

Also, there is even a video of a chair moving by itself. (There are several great videos on YouTube about The [haunted] Tavern.)

Here are some photographs that Greg and I took:

The photo above is of the room where the murder took place. It is supposed to be the most haunted one in the building, but we found only one orb in this room in the four or five photographs that we took of it. The orb is on the wood to the upper left of the woman in the far right of the photo.

Here's a close-up of that orb-

Orb in the "Most-Haunted Room"

Could this orb (above) be the spirit of the woman who was murdered in this room? Is she watching people as they dine, etc.?

Afterwards, we went into the adjacent room which seemed to have a lot more paranormal activity going on, at least for that night.

I took about four pictures in that room, and they were all blurred, which shows that something, like paranormal activity, was interfering with my camera!

Here's the best photo of the bunch in that room-

A few of these anomalies are actually lights on the walls and reflections, but some of these show ghostly activity. For example, notice the ectoplasm in the bottom left corner and the strange-looking orb near the center of the photo.

Close-up of the Strange-Looking Orb

We concluded that this room was the most haunted one that we photographed at The Tavern. We found out later that the Civil War hospital was upstairs which, we think, contributed to much of the paranormal activity in this room.

As we were leaving the upstairs, to go back down, Greg snapped this photo of the stairway-

Notice the small violet bit of ectoplasm to the left of the steps. Violet is a very spiritual color.

Enlargement of the Previous Photo

Yes, Greg and I will have to agree, The Tavern is definitely haunted!

Why don't you check it out for yourself!

For more on the paranormal, I've written a book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" in which I show many photographs that Greg, other people, and I have taken of many different places, including Europe, of paranormal activity.

More Spirits in the Snow from the Past

Welcome!

And, welcome spring!

This is the first day of spring, and although I don't like talking about snow on the first day of spring, there is something I'd like to share on this blog post that you might find interesting.

Last month, I wrote a blog post entitled "Spirits in the Snow and More" on 2/20/21. On that post, I have a photograph of our current house with snow coming down, and mixed with the snow are orbs and other types of ectoplasm.

A few days ago, I was looking through my many photos, eliminating some and putting others into their appropriate folders, when I happened to notice for the first time something strange in three of my photos of our very first house which was in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Here is one of the photographs of our old house that shows orbs and ectoplasm as well as snowflakes-

Notice how large some of the orbs are, and how many of them seem to glow. Some of the orbs are almost transparent. If you notice carefully, you can even see ectoplasm in the snow on the ground in front of the shrubs which are on the left.

The orbs and ectoplasm are no surprise to me, because Greg and I knew that this house was very haunted. In fact, I wrote a chapter about our old house in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind." Please see the widget above for more details about my book which is for sale on Amazon.

A few days ago, I thought I'd start my spring cleaning, organizing, etc. at our current house in Virginia. As I was going through some boxes of memorabilia, I came across some writing I'd done for an English class when I was in college. I thought it would be somewhat appropriate for the blog post I'm writing now.

Here it is-

 "Dead of Winter"
Stark trees are etched against the steel-grey sky which unloads its snow-burden, entombing the lifeless landscape below.-Becky Arnott

Winter is gone for now, however, and a new season has arrived. We'll see what paranormal activity  we'll encounter during the next few months. Stay tuned, and happy spring!

Spirits in the Snow and More!

Welcome!

I have several things to share with you this month, spirits (ectoplasm) in the snow and even more!

We've had quite a bit of snow this winter where we live. I was really excited when we had a pretty good snow of about three inches so I could take some pictures of our house in the snow. We're been here at our new location for only about a year and a half, and we got very little snow last year.

I took five pictures of our house in the snow, and all five had ectoplasm somewhere either on the house or in our yard! I never dreamed that would happen. I just wanted some pretty photos of our house in the winter. Guess I'll just have to settle for pretty photos of our house in the winter with ectoplasm!

Here's a close-up photograph of our house with several bunches of ectoplasm. Also, notice the ectoplasm down low on the trees and above the bush in the yard.

There's probably even more ectoplasm in my photos, but it's hard to see it since it would be white against white.

More outdoor spirit activity-

This is a picture of our deck at night. I was trying to take a picture of the stray cat which has recently become our adopted outdoor cat. Taking pictures in the darkness is not the easiest thing to do, but this photo paid off as far as getting paranormal activity! The light in the background is from a pole lamp, but if you look closely, you can see the moving orbs near the light.

I'm nor concerned about these spirits in the snow or on the deck since they're outside, and they don't bother us.

I consulted a psychic not long ago about spirits on our property, and she said that our house was not haunted, but there were spirits of Civil War soldiers that made an appearance from time to time, and they were not harmful. For more about what the psychic told me, please see my 12/19/20 blog post, "Answers from the Psychic."

You can see many more spirit photographs in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" which is for sale on Amazon. See the widget above for more information.

Take care!

Questions for the Psychic

 Welcome!

Inquiring minds (Specifically Greg's and my minds!) want to know the answer to our questions about several strange happenings around our house, inside and out.

A few months ago, I contacted a psychic who told me about a man who used to live in our house before we bought it that had passed on. According to the psychic, he is still living with us in spirit, and we do believe she was right.

We did a little ritual to try to get rid of him and any others that might be around, but apparently the spirit of the man is still with us. In all honesty, we didn't do the ritual she suggested, but rather another one that was in a book that is good for when you move into a new house. I used it because I already had those materials available, and I didn't want to waste them.

We decided that when we have more time, we need to do the ritual she suggested, and that we need to use a smudge stick that is burning properly. The last time I used it, it was barely burning. Since then, I have fixed it so that it burns the way it's supposed to.

I am the world's best procrastinator, and I have been really busy with my art, working on our house, and working on things for the upcoming holidays so I have neglected getting rid of negative entities since that is just not a top priority for me right now. (Maybe it should be, however!)

Here are some strange things that have been happening the past few weeks, so I have plenty of questions for the psychic:

In September, we had a yard sale, and after the sale was over, we were just playing around and decided to take some pictures-

I was a little taken aback to see these large orbs near and on Greg's legs and feet, even after all of these years of taking paranormal photos since I usually don't take pictures just to get strange things showing up in photos.

Next, Greg took my picture, and even more orbs were surrounding me! Plus, look at the colored streaks of ectoplasm on the ceiling of the porch! What was going on!

We started putting two and two together, and we decided that at least partially, it had to do with the spirit of the former owner since many of the things that were in the yard sale were his that came with the sale of the house. This included the large heart we found in our cabin that he had apparently made for his wife since he had good carpentry skills.

So our first question to the psychic is to professionally explain the paranormal activity going on in these two photographs.

Also, after we left the porch, we went toward our nearby cabin when we both smelled strong cigarette smoke. We looked around and no one was anywhere near us. We learned from a neighbor that the man who had lived in our house smoked cigarettes!

We'll see what the psychic that I'll call in a few weeks has to say about the phantom cigarette smoke!

Notice also, in the photo featuring me, the window on the far right. A couple of times, when I was in our living room, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, a partial figure of perhaps a man perhaps on the porch quickly passing by the window. When this happened, I quickly ran to the window to look outside, but I saw nothing! Greg was outside in another part of the yard, mowing.

So, I'll ask her what I saw. Was it merely a figment of my imagination, a passing vehicle, or something else?

I mentioned the cabin earlier, and I have written about it before. Here's a picture I took of some stuffed animals in the cabin. They were here when we bought the house.

I'm afraid it didn't turn out the way I intended. It is, of course, very blurred, not from the movement of the camera, but from paranormal activity. I tried taking another picture, and it turned out the same way. I got rid of all of my old dolls and stuffed animals after I saw a television show on the paranormal about spirits sometimes inhabiting images of  people and animals.

We're really looking forward to finding out from the psychic what's going on in the cabin since it's apparently haunted, too, which I mentioned in previous blog posts.

I also have a couple of other things to ask her which I'll mention next month. There will probably be even more things, as well, knowing this place!

Be careful!

And happy Thanksgiving!

Weird Happenings at the Cabin

Welcome!

On my 5/16/20 "Spirit Photographs" blog post, "A Haunted Cabin," I wrote about the unfinished cabin that is on our property. I had done a ritual of smudging using white sage, and I had convinced myself that the cabin was free of any paranormal activity, but now, I don't think so for two reasons.

First of all, one day, a few weeks ago, I went on the porch of the cabin to see about the plant that was there, when I heard an unexplained noise come from inside the cabin. This is not unusual as this has happened before.

Then, just moments later, I felt the floor of the porch slightly, subtly, and briefly vibrate beneath my feet. I couldn't believe what I was feeling, since I would never have suspected something like that would happen. That was really weird, to say the least!

Cabin Porch

Then, a few days later, I saw Greg out working in the yard, and I decided to take a picture of him as an example of  a person doing something that he loved to do for my other blog, "The Art of Positive Living."

That little plan was foiled, however, when, despite my holding my camera perfectly still, the whole picture looked as though I'd shaken it on purpose! I've encountered this same phenomenon before when in the presence of paranormal activity.

The cabin is directly behind the tree that Greg is standing in front of.

I started to wonder why the sage ritual that had worked successfully for me before had apparently not worked on the cabin. I finally decided that the new sage that I'd used was barely smoking, and that I'd have to work on the sage to make it burn better to get better results.

We have been really busy working on our house the past few months, and I haven't had much extra time to devote to working anything such as the paranormal. However, I'm going to carve out some time soon to rid the cabin of  the weird happenings taking place there.

In a few months we hope to either rent out the cabin or to use it as a guest cottage, but the way things are now, I don't believe anyone would want to stay there unless they are real ghost enthusiasts with nerves of steel!

I'll have an update next month on the cabin, plus, Greg and are are planning to visit a creepy area near where we live soon, so please stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting! Until Saturday, September 19, 2020, Becky

Getting Rid of Negative Entities

Welcome!

On my last "Spirit Photographs" blog post on 5/16/20, I mentioned that I would probably use sage to get rid of any remaining negative entities and spirits on our property.

Several years ago, a local psychic, Linda, gave me a ritual to get rid of negative spirits. She told me to burn white sage which is called smudging. To do it properly, you put the sage in an abalone shell and fan it with a feather as you go through each room of  the house or other building. She said to be sure to also include the attic, basement, closets, and porches, etc., as well as the main rooms.

Burning Sage on our Front Porch

Also, it was important to throw a pinch of salt in the corners of each room as I walk through the different areas. (Another psychic Elaine Watson that I consulted while writing my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," [See widget above for more information.] said that I also needed to put salt in all four corners of the house, both inside and outside.)

While doing the smudging ritual, I should say something like, "Any negative energy or entities in this house or on our property must leave now! You must leave, and you are not allowed to return. You are not welcome here! Only good, positive energy and entities are welcome for our best and highest good."

When cleared, Greg and I should sit in the middle of the house in a meditative state. Then, we imagine a beam of white light at every corner of our property outside. Picture the outside beams coming up and meeting from all corners above our house. They all meet like a ribbon with bows. Then, I say, "It is our intention for the beams to stay and protect our property."

Also, an actual cleaning of the house, like the floors, the walls, etc. is good.

If a negative person has been to our house, or there has been an argument, or even if I have any anger at myself, it's good to say a prayer.

I cleansed the inside of our unfinished cabin using sage, and it looked better than before, but there were still some lingering orbs and ectoplasm. Hopefully, the entities that remain are positive. If there is ever a problem, I'll take further action.

I had taken pictures of a neighborhood cat which was out on our deck several months ago simply because I love taking pictures of animals.

It was a real surprise when I saw the blurred images, some ectoplasm,...

and an almost transparent cat, in the photo above!

Apparently, something paranormal affected my camera.

I recently took the photograph (above) of our deck at night which shows no paranormal activity probably because I smudged our deck and sprinkled salt a few days ago.

I do know that smudging works., and this is why-Our house in Tennessee was on the market for four months, and we had no buyers. Many people looked at our house, but they kept finding fault with it. We just couldn't understand that since we thought that our house and yard were very attractive.

I happened to remember one of our neighbors telling us about all of the negative things that went on there before we bought the house. There were terrible arguments and a divorce, and the couples's child was purely evil, according to our neighbor. After we bought the house, the man even killed himself! Negativity galore!

I thought I'd try smudging the house to see if that would help, and less than a week later, a couple went through the house and immediately fell in love with it. They said it was perfect, and that they would look no further.

For Greg and me, that was nothing short of a miracle! It was out with the negative, and in with the positive. In my opinion, smudging can lead to happy endings!

And, happy summer!

Two Haunted Rooms

Welcome!

This blog post is special because special family members sent me some very intriguing paranormal info.

First of all, my brother Nick and his wife Lisa went on a trip to Key West during the winter. (Everyone should be so lucky!)

They stayed in the Marrero Guest Mansion which is "one of the top haunted sites in Key West," according to my brother.

Marrero Guest Mansion (Photo by Nick)

And, their room was "the most haunted place in the house."

Nick's Photo of the Haunted Room

They took a ghost tour in which they learned that this mansion was "a hot spot of paranormal activity." Nick on to say that a lady who formerly lived there used their room as her bedroom, and her apparition has been seen walking near the bed!

Nick and Lisa spent two nights there. (That was brave!) The first night they heard something fall in the floor after they'd gone to bed. Nick said that it turned out to be a shopping bag that had fallen from the top of a chest of drawers for no apparent reason. The second night, they heard "creaking sounds, like footsteps, on the old wooden floor" in their room again after they turned off the lights. Lisa sat up in bed and felt as if though "someone was walking around the room near her side of the bed."

Nick went on to say that they read about "other guests experiencing similar occurrences." He said that YouTube has some good videos of investigators trying to capture some of  these sounds.

They were lucky to have come into contact with this paranormal activity which not very many get to experience.

Another family member, our sister-in-law Cris, is really into the paranormal just as we are.

She recently sent us an interesting article that was in the "Times Free Press" about a ghost in a room at the Read House in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The reporter for the newspaper wrote an article about him and his wife who spent the night in the haunted room, but nothing happened that night even though they tried to encourage interaction between them and the ghostly entity wherever it might be.

You just never know about a place that is haunted. The spirit world is so unpredictable! The spirits appear, make contact, etc. when they want, not when we in the "real" world want them to!

Cris recommended a terrific book for Greg and me. And, I recommend it to all of you. It's called "True Tales of Ghostly Encounters" by Andrew Honigman who compiled and edited the stories. I got it on Amazon for only $7.00.

Thanks, guys, for sharing your intriguing stories and photos. Keep up the good work!

"Haunted Franklin Tour"

Welcome!

A few days ago, Greg and I went on one of the several "Franklin on Foot" tours. Ours was the "Haunted Franklin Tour" which was fantastic! We got a private tour with our entertaining and informative guide, Alicia.

She took us to several places that are on the regular tour-

In the above photo, Alicia is telling us about this Franklin restaurant,"Biscuit Love," and it's haunted history. The paranormal activity has subsided since a certain item has been removed from this place, but not entirely, as you can see upon closer examination. Notice the small orbs which show up against the gray part of the building.

Most of the time, the ghost tours are on the outside of the buildings in Franklin, but we got to peek in a couple of windows and take pictures, which resulted in some of our best spirit photos.

This is the interior of Eaton House in which there is ectoplasm galore-on the ceiling, on the back of the desk, in the doorway, on the side of the picture frame, and on the arm of the seat. There is also some glowing ectoplasm on the stairway banister.

I took four pictures of this same room from the same angle, but no two are alike since the ectoplasmic formations are all different.

Greg and I also got to take pictures through the glass at "Shuff's Music." We photographed the mirror which is inside "Shuff's."

Look at all of the orb activity in this photo that Greg took of the mirror! Amazing!

Mine is very similar to Greg's, but it even looks like a ghostly image on the stairway in this one.

The outside of "Shuff's" shows spirit activity as well.

Just look at the obvious orbs in this photo, as well as the less obvious ones.

"Shuff's" was the place that Greg and I requested to go on the tour since we knew that it was very haunted. We had been there a few weeks before on our own during the daytime when I got some ectoplasm in a photo that I took of this side of the building.without even using a flash.

In fact, Alicia said that this area where "Shuff's" is located, on 3rd Ave. N., is the most haunted block of the most haunted street in the South! We believe it!

Of all of the photos that Greg and I took on this tour, we got paranormal activity in about two-thirds of them!

Franklin, Tennessee is one of the most haunted places we have ever visited, and the ghost tour is a must for those who are interested in the paranormal.

Our advice in a word is, "Go!" (If you dare!)

Paranormal Activity

Welcome!

The third Saturday of every month, I write about paranormal activity on this "Spirit Photographs" blog. Thankfully, I don't have to wring my hands and rack my brain trying to figure out what to write about since there always seems to be plenty of paranormal activity going on around Greg and me to discuss!

This blog post is no exception...

First of all, Greg and I really enjoy going to various parks in the summer. Just a few weeks ago, we went to Chickasaw Trace Park which is close to where we live. We took several photos as we usually do whenever we go somewhere.

No matter where I took pictures in the park, ectoplasm kept showing up in my photos. This same phenomenon occurred once before when we took pictures there.

                                                     Haunted? Chickasaw Trace Park

What is the cause of the ectoplasm in the photos in this park? Is it because of the Native Americans who passed on, or is it the spirits of animals, fish, and birds? Does the sheer beauty of this place cause many spirits to be attracted to it?

Greg and I have the ability to take paranormal photos, but we don't have the ability to interpret them. I discuss this in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" which has around 100 paranormal photos mostly taken by Greg and me. (It's available on both "Amazon" and "FastPencil.")

Also, there are a couple of other strange things that have occurred the past few weeks-

Greg was by himself at work one evening, and while he was in the break room, he suddenly heard an unusual loud noise. It sounded as if someone had thrown a large rubber mat on the floor right behind him. He looked around the whole area to see what might have caused the noise, and no one was there, and nothing had moved as far as he could tell! He wasn't very surprised as he and other people have seen and heard weird things there at work several times before.

Greg has a good idea on why the place where he works might be haunted. The building there is on the  battlefield of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War!

A few days ago, it was my mother's birthday. Although she passed on two years ago, I took time to speak to her spirit, to wish her a happy birthday and to send her our love.

I didn't think any more about it, and I started doing some chores. I was heating up some food in the oven, and I set the timer for six minutes. I started working on something else, and in a few minutes, I wondered why the timer hadn't gone off. I looked at the timer to see what was going on, and it was on 0709, my mother's birth date! I guess that was her way of saying she had heard me, and that she appreciated our birthday wishes. It made me feel happy and reassured.

All paranormal activity need not be scary because it's actually normal occurrences that we just don't fully understand. It's a mystery yet to be solved. That's why the paranormal is so totally intriguing!

Haunted Homestead Manor

Welcome!

Recently, Greg and I visited an old plantation-style mansion in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, Homestead Manor. It was used as a field hospital during the famous Battle of Thompson's Station during the Civil War, so no wonder it's haunted!

It's now a gourmet restaurant, among other things. While we were dining there, I asked if there had been any strange activity going on in the mansion, and the informative hostess said that waitresses have had such things happen as having their aprons tugged on.

Also, there is one employee who will absolutely not go on the third floor because of the paranormal activity there since that was where many of the surgeries went on during the war.

Blood permeated the floor boards. Many of the stains are still there. Five hundred types of DNA were found in the stains.

So, if you'd like to have a little adventure while dining, be sure and check out Homestead Manor in Thompson's Station, Tennessee. Enjoy the delicious food, if you can! Also, ask for a tour of the house which includes the third floor, if you dare!

Paranormal Mirror

Welcome!

In my 9/14/12 blog post, I discussed grids showing up mainly in old mirrors.  In this post, I have a picture that I took of a new mirror which exhibits paranormal activity, including not only a grid, but ectoplasm as well.

While visiting a woman that I know a few days ago, I noticed this intriguing-looking mirror.  When she left the room, out of curiosity I took out my camera which I always carry with me, and decided to try photographing it to see if anything strange would show up.  I was pleasantly surprised when I did get these paranormal images, because the mirror didn't look to be very old.  The woman later verified that it wasn't old when I asked her about it.

I didn't want to tell her about what I'd just photographed, because I was concerned that if she knew that her mirror was perhaps haunted that she'd be frightened.  I certainly don't want to tell her name, so she will remain anonymous.

If you have anything paranormal to share, please email me at: spiritphotographs@gmail.com  .
