The Last Paranormal Blog Post Until September

Welcome!

A lot has been going on for us the past few days as far as the paranormal goes.  Three days in a row last week, something supernatural happened at our house.

The first incident was after supper last week when I was in the kitchen, working with some dishes.  All of a sudden, I felt something lightly touch my upper arm.  I looked down, expecting to see a bug, but nothing was there!  That was the first time I've ever had the sensation of being touched by anything I couldn't see.  Very creepy!

The very next day, I couldn't find a silver earring that I decided to wear.  It should have been in the blue container where I keep a few pieces of jewelry that I wear more often than others.  (That same container was featured in my April 12, 2014 blog post entitled "Another Strange Incident.")  I carefully looked through the container, checked on the floor, etc., to no avail.  I finally just gave up and put on another pair of earrings.  However, later that day, I went back to that same container to look for something else, and there, as plain as day, was my missing silver earring, right in the middle of the container.  I asked Greg if he had found it and put it there, but he said he had not!  Chills ran up and down my spine, as I contemplated what had happened.  I was in shock!

Finally, the next day, Greg told me that he had noticed  as he went by the laundry room that the basket of towels had fallen over and wanted to know if I wanted him to take care of it.  I told him that I would go do it.  I couldn't believe it when I saw the basket of towels lying against the dryer.  Earlier, I had put a couple of towels on top of the pile, but there was no way that would make the basket fall over on the dryer like it had done.  I also thought about the cats, but I've very rarely ever seen them in that laundry room since we've lived here, and I just can't see them pushing over a basket of towels in that manner.  I knew that this had to be in the realm of the paranormal, along with the other two incidents that had just recently happened.

The very next day, after the above incidents had transpired, Greg and I left on a trip to Savannah.  A lot of paranormal things happened to us there, as well, in the form of paranormal pictures that I and some other people took.  One restaurant in particular was very haunted.

Savannah is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in the world which, I believe, is very true, and I can prove it!  I'll detail it all in a new book that I'm currently writing which I hope to have out next year.

I have a lot of irons in the fire right now, so this will be my last "Spirit Photographs" blog post until September.  However, you may keep up with my latest on the paranormal, via my "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" Facebook page, www.facebook.com/pages/Photographic-Encounters-of-the-Spirit-Kind/134892953371993?fref=ts ,where I'll feature updates, videos, etc.  Please give a like while you're there.

Thanks so much for your support!  Until September, Becky

The Latest on the Paranormal

Welcome!

I'd just like to share with you the latest info I have on the paranormal.

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who helped my "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" Facebook page exceed the goal of over 100 likes!  I said that when we reached that goal, I'd have a contest for all those who'd like to participate.  I decided to begin the contest sometime around the first of September.  It should be fun!

I'm reading an interesting book, "You are a Medium" by psychic medium Sherrie Dillard.  She says that you can learn to "communicate with the other side using your natural psychic abilities."  She gives insightful messages from the other side.  They help us and, we can help them!

A strange thing happened to me this past week.  I was sitting in the living room, meditating, when I heard a noise like the front door opening, twice, within minutes of each other.)  I kept waiting for Greg to come through the door, but he didn't get home until fifteen minutes later!

Our Front Door

This is the same unusual phenomenon which I wrote about in my book  "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind."  Pick up a copy and see for yourself!

And, how was your paranormal week?

Thanks for visiting!  Until next Sunday, Becky

"Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," from the Heart

Welcome!

On this blog post, I want to share with you, from my heart, a little of the behind-the-scenes part of my paranormal book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind."

"Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" is a paranormal book containing around 110 paranormal photographs that were taken by me, my husband, my brother, and a couple of other people we know.  They are one hundred percent real, taken from our many photo albums we'd compiled throughout the years.  (One day, after going through these albums, I decided these would be great published in a book.)

We aren't professional photographers with any special skills; we're just ordinary people who've had extraordinary encounters with the spirit world through the pictures we've taken.

Being able to take pictures like this is a psychic gift; instead of seeing and hearing spirits like some psychics, we just take pictures of them.

I've had mixed reactions about my book since it first came out.

Many people I know have just tried to ignore it (even people I've given it to as a gift!-no thank you, nothing), It's like they're hoping it will just go quietly into the night and disappear.  This reaction could be due to fear of the unknown-or you name it!

Others have been very supportive-complimentary, encouraging.  Some have thought I was very brave for presenting this book to the world.  (I appreciate the compliment, but I just had a story to tell, and I was determined to tell it, no matter what!)

Today, I just want to thank all of you who have been positive toward me and my first paranormal book.  (I hope to have another true paranormal book out whenever I get everything compiled and written.)

Thanks to any of you who have helped promote "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" in any way-through reading my blog, buying my book, giving likes on Facebook, selling my book in your shops, telling others about my book, etc.

I'm just one person trying to get the word out in my own way about the spirit world being real.  It's not all evil.  There are good and bad spirits there just as there are good and bad people here.  (My husband and I have a couple of spirits living in our home right now that are attached to two of our antiques.  They don't bother us, and we don't bother them.  We're all getting along just fine!)

I'm just a little first-time author with no connection to big-time publishing companies, book stores, television networks, or the good-ol'-boy/girl network, etc. who needs your help!  Thanks so much for your support!

Supporters of the Paranormal

Welcome!

Here, at year's end, I'd just like to express my appreciation to all of you who have supported this blog and my new book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind."

At the risk of leaving someone out, I'd like to thank, among others, my Followers, my blog readers, those who helped me get my book published, those who came to my book signings, those who hosted my book signings, those who have bought my book, those who plan to buy my book, those who wrote articles and blog posts about my book, those who have sent me complimentary emails and letters and have said nice things to me in person, those who have told others about my blog and book, those who have liked my book page on Facebook, and those who showed up at the first "Ghosts of the Gap" event in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.  (If I accidentally left anyone out, I'm thankful for you, too!)

Speaking of "Ghosts of the Gap," I'd especially like to thank the wonderful paranormal group who does ghost investigations for people around the Southwest Virginia, etc. area, the Black Mountain Paranormal Society.  I met some of the members at my Big Stone Gap book signing and worked with them during the "Ghosts of the Gap" event.  This spiritual group has been very supportive of both my blog and book.

Home, Haunted Home

Welcome!

(You can now get Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.)

(An important Facebook note:  The Becky Arnott Facebook page has been replaced by the Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind page.  I really appreciate those of you who were on the other page.  I really enjoyed your comments.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  We'll start fresh with this new permanent page.  We've hopefully now gotten our act together!  Thanks!  Becky)

My husband Greg and I were so hopeful when we moved into our new home a couple of months ago that we'd left our haunted-home past behind us.  Nothing significant had shown up in the photos we'd taken of our house before we moved in.  However, some things have happened in the past few weeks that have led us to believe that our new house is, unfortunately, haunted.

At first, little things started happening.  A ceiling fan turned on by itself.  The cats stared into space as if they were seeing something happening.  I heard the sound of a squeaky doorknob upstairs several different times when no one else was in the house.  I found a package of cookies open on both ends.  Why?

Then, early one night, when I was upstairs at the computer, I heard a loud crash downstairs.  Afraid that something bad might have happened to Greg, I ran down the steps, fearful of what I'd find.  Thankfully, Greg was in the downstairs bathroom, and he was OK!

Together, we looked around to see what had caused the loud noise.  Greg found a large board that had fallen from its perch in the garage near the ceiling (where apparently someone had started building something.)  We'd never noticed that board before.  There was another large board up there which Greg quickly took down.

That first board had somehow just fallen on its own.  It could have been worse.  Greg had been in that very same area of the garage only ten minutes earlier!
