The Paranormal-What to Write About?

The last couple of weeks, I've been in a quandary about what to write for this blog post. Usually, there are at least two or three paranormal photos that I've taken in a month's time, but this past month, I've been busy with other projects, so that's why I have nothing to show as far as paranormal photos go.

Just last week, I told Greg that I had no idea about what to write since basically nothing paranormal had happened.

Well, a few days ago, all that changed. Bam, bam, bam! One after another, strange things started to happen. It's just as if the spirits were saying to me, "We want you to know that we are always around even though you may not be aware of us!"

Things tend to happen in three's, and these paranormal occurrences are no exception-

-I had been on an organizing job at someone's house, and I always take my hand soap with me in case I need it since I have very sensitive skin. When I got home, I couldn't find it anywhere, but a few days later, it turned up in one of my carrying cases, wedged among some other things, upside down, and some of it had even spilled out. I never would have put it in the case like that, and I can't understand why I hadn't seen it earlier.

-A couple of days later, I was fixing supper in our kitchen, when I heard a sound behind me that was coming from the dining room. It sounded like some glassware hitting against each other. Immediately, a went to the dining room, thinking the cats were jumping around in there, but there was not a cat to be found!

-Finally, just last night, I was watching a TV show that I really like, so I sat on the coffee table in our living room so I could see it better, so I wouldn't miss anything. Right behind me, it sounded like one of our cats jumped off the couch onto the floor, but when I looked around, Mitzi was sound asleep on the back of the couch, and Kallie was in the dining room, quietly lying on the rug.

A few minutes later, I noticed Mitzi quickly jumping off her perch on the couch. As she looked toward the dining room, she acted like she was stalking something. I thought she was after Kallie, but she wasn't. Kallie had since moved into the living room. Mitzi sat on the floor and intently stared toward the dining room for several minutes. I saw nothing. (Our two cats seem to be very psychic, and they see a lot of stuff we miss. Wonder what Mitzi saw?)

My psychic ability often manifests, of course, when I'm taking pictures. Also, I do sometimes hear strange things, and sometimes I have psychic dreams, but to my knowledge, I have never seen a ghost or a spirit with my own eyes. Keep in mind, however, that it is possible, to see and even talk with spirits that you mistake for real flesh and blood people!

Psychic ability takes many forms, and we're all psychic to a certain extent, but I have no idea what is behind the incidents above which I described. So, in a few days, I might consult with a psychic that does readings, to find out exactly what is going on.

If I found out anything noteworthy, I'll mention it on next month's blog post.

I recently found an interesting website-

TV fans can go on that site and vote for their favorite TV shows, including the paranormal ones.

Around 90 paranormal shows were listed to vote on. "Ghost Adventures" was number one.

Strangely, some of the most popular shows like "Ghost Hunters" (no. 3) and "The Haunted Collector" (no. 11) have been cancelled. What are these networks thinking?

I think that "Finding Bigfoot" should be ranked higher than 43. In my opinion, that show gets better with every season.

I believe I'll go to that website soon and vote for my favorites. Maybe voting will positively influence the networks to keep showing, and even put back on, the best programs.

The Latest on the Paranormal, Including Photos

I have several things I'd like to share with you on this post.

First of all, I have a fake paranormal photo I'd like to share with you. I had thought it was real at first, until I investigated it a little further.

Greg and I had just gotten back from a trip on a rainy night. When Greg got out of the car, he said that there was an armadillo near our backyard fence. I got all excited about it since I'd never seen one, so, of course, I pulled out my camera to get a picture of the little guy. The following photo is what I got-

I never did see the armadillo in the picture; guess he was too fast for me!, but I did get these weird lights that looked like streaks of ectoplasm. I was sure I'd gotten something unusual until I analyzed the photo. In my haste to capture my subject, I had jerked the camera, and the streaks of light were just street and house lights in the background.

However, most of the time, the paranormal photos that Greg and I take are a hundred percent real!

For example, here is a paranormal photo I took a few weeks ago of Greg standing in front of "Homestead Manor" in Thompson Station, Tennessee-

Notice the fuzzy ectoplasm at the top of the photo.

I obviously took this picture in the daytime, using no flash. This haunted mansion is an easy target since it is so haunted! I wrote about it on my "Spirit Photographs" blog last year. It's the 7/2/16 post entitled "Haunted Homestead Manor."

Our sister-in-law Cris wants us to go visit Tombstone, Arizona which is one of her favorite places since it is apparently so full of ghosts. (She's really into the paranormal just like Greg and I are.) We're seriously considering it! Should be really interesting !

Also, Greg and I are looking forward to the season premiere of "Finding Bigfoot" on "Animal Planet" starting tomorrow night (1/08/17) at 9:00 PM EST. It's supposed to be in North Carolina near the Appalachian Trail. Fans of the show will get a real treat tomorrow since it will be on all day starting in the morning! Enjoy!

News of the Paranormal Kind

Have I got paranormal news for you!

I'm running a little late with this post, but, hopefully, the paranormal info I have will have been worth your wait!

First of all, I have some Bigfoot news!

A Christmas Gift Greg Received from My Brother Nick and His Wife Lisa 

"Animal Planet's" "Finding Bigfoot" has moved to a new night. It's now on Thursday nights at 10/9c.

Also, our sister-in-law Betty recently told Greg and me that she got to meet and speak with one of the "Finding Bigfoot" stars Ranae Holland when they were both getting massage muscle therapy in North Carolina one day. The "Finding Bigfoot" team was filming a segment in the Green River Gorge near Hendersonville for a future episode. Ranae felt the need for therapy after hiking and filming there in North Carolina. How lucky was Betty who just happened to be there getting therapy at the same time as Ranae! Betty said she was a nice, friendly person.

Another sister-in-law Cris emailed me something that I didn't know about. It was news from an interesting website, www.americanhauntings.net . To quote from the website, it's had "Haunted History, Books, Tours, & Events since 1993." Check it out!

In that same email she sent, it told about one of the most haunted places in Tennessee (my state) the Old South Pittsburg Hospital. To again quote, "Closed down since 1998, this massive facility has become known for the myriad ghostly tales that haunt its halls." They're having an overnight stay there on April 23, "12 hours, overnight, sundown to sunrise...no way out." (Just like they do on "Ghost Adventures"!)

Speaking of "Ghost Adventures," it's now in reruns on Saturdays on the "Travel Channel", before the new Zak Bagans show, "Deadly Possessions" which is on 9/8c. Each episode of "Deadly Possessions" is about three haunted items and their owners. Zak tries to help the people who have these deadly objects. He hopes in the future to have a museum in Las Vegas full of the haunted items he's been collecting for many years.

Paranormal News from "Spirit Photographs"

Welcome, and happy New Year!

Today, I'd like to start the new year right with some paranormal news from this blog, "Spirit Photographs."

I hope you had a very merry Christmas.

Below is a photo that someone took of us while we were celebrating the holiday in Nashville.

Notice how blurred Greg and I look, especially Greg's face. It looks as though at least one spirit was having his or her picture taken, too! The amateur photographer who took this photo probably isn't even aware that he's psychic enough to take a spirit photograph!

We really enjoyed "The Twilight Zone" New Year's marathon on Syfy the past few days. We have a DVD with several episodes, but I'd like to have the complete series of 156 episodes which you can get on DVD on Amazon for around $150.00. (I'm saving up my pennies!) Over fifty years later, this quality show is still a favorite of those of us who love the paranormal.

Another quality show, in my opinion, is "Finding Bigfoot" on "Animal Planet." Greg and I can really relate to that show after our scary experience in West Tennessee which I describe in my 9/5/14 and 9/13/14 "Spirit Photographs" blog posts.

The season premier of "Finding Bigfoot" is tomorrow (Sunday, January 3, 2016) at 9/8C. Look for reruns earlier in the day.

A show that my brother recommends is "Ghost Asylum" which is on "Destination America." There are some full episodes you can watch on the Internet if you don't get that channel.

An intriguing book I'm planning to buy is "Do Dead People Watch You Shower?" by Concetta Bertoldi which answers questions that many of us would like to know about the spirit world.

Paranormal Odds and Ends

On this blog post, I have some paranormal odds and ends to share with you.

First of all, I'd like to thank a loyal reader from Tennessee who responded to my request to email me, to help solve the mystery of the mystery photo on my October 31, 2014 blog post.  In this picture, taken by my husband, Greg, there is a ray of light shining down from the sky directly behind me, as well as on me.  My face even looks a little obscured, as well (which is not altogether a bad thing!).  Anyway, this reader said she thought that "the park bench picture captured a glimpse of the Light of God's Perfect Love, shining down upon you."  That's so beautifully said!  Thank you so much, Patricia.  Who knows?  She very well could be right.  I feel like this is a very spiritual photo.

I'll have this photograph in my next paranormal book when I'll expound on it further.

Greg and I had something funny happen this past week.  I was sitting at the computer when all of a sudden, I heard a high-pitched noise that I couldn't identify or find out where it was coming from.  I called to Greg who was downstairs, and he couldn't figure it out either.  We went all through he house, but we couldn't pinpoint what it was or where it was coming from.  Suddenly, Greg said that he thought I must be causing it, for the noise was wherever I happened to be.  We both thought it had to be in the realm of the paranormal.  Finally, when we had about given up hope, and had resigned ourselves to the the fact that we'd have to wear earmuffs to bed every night if we wanted to get any sleep, we heard a warped alarm-type sound.  I checked my pocket and found the timer I had placed in it about an hour earlier.  The timer had been making the weird sound that whole time just because its battery needed changing.  It was a relief knowing that I wasn't haunted after all!  The paranormal does sometimes have its humorous side which I also tell about in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind."

 

Tomorrow (Sunday, November 16, 2014), "Finding Bigfoot" is on "Animal Planet" at 10:00 P. M. Eastern Time.  On this episode, the investigators are in Idaho.  There's a preview on the "Animal Planet" website.  ("Finding Bigfoot" is also on earlier in the day and at 11:00 P.M. in reruns.)

We really like this show since we think we had a close encounter with a Bigfoot in Tennessee earlier this year.  Check out my previous blog posts ( 9/5/14 and 9/13/14) about this incident if you haven't already.

Our Paranormal Adventure in a Park-Part Two

In last week's blog post (September 5, 2014), I wrote about what Greg and I had seen and heard in a park in West Tennessee in August.  Well, on this post, I'm going to tell you "the rest of the story," as news commentator Paul Harvey used to say.

At the end of my last week's post, I said that I thought Bigfoot inhabited the cypress forest that we had visited.  I don't say this lightly and without thought, because Greg and I have discussed our visit several times, and we both agreed that everything we saw and heard pointed to Bigfoot living in that park-the lack of wildlife, the sounds we heard of strange barking, knocking, and breaking of twigs and sticks.  

I have done even more research since my last post, and I found some things to validate our Bigfoot assumption.

I now know the following facts from my research about Bigfoot:

-Bigfoot has been spotted all around the world, including North America.

-Native Americans knew about Bigfoot before Europeans came to North America.  

-(S)he can live in all kinds of different climates and geological regions.

-Bigfoot prefers unpopulated wilderness, like forests!

-Southern swampy areas are good for Bigfoot!

-Tennessee is one of the top ten states for Bigfoot because over fifty percent of the state is forest!

-Bigfoot loves caves, and Tennessee has thousands of caves to live in.

-Bigfoot is believed to be an omnivore.  That means that it eats both plants, and animals!

-This creature can mimic many different sounds.

This last fact is believable to Greg and me because we heard a barking noise that sounded somewhat like a dog, but like Greg told me, the bark didn't sound exactly like a regular dog's bark.

In my research, I came across a barking sound, accompanied by the sound of knocking.  It's on "YouTube," entitled "Breakdown-Bigfoot sounds 2012."  It was amazing to us because that was the sound similar to what we had heard.  (Prior to this You Tube video, we knew from watching the "Animal Planet" hit show, "Finding Bigfoot," the sounds that a Bigfoot is supposed to make, but we weren't aware that barking like a dog was one of them, although we suspected that Bigfoot might be making that noise since it sounded so strange!)

To top off all of this, the best evidence yet that we are on the right track in our beliefs, is this from the website www.bigfootencounters.com:

My daughter-in-law saw what we believe to be a Bigfoot in Jackson, Tn., Madison Co.  In June of 2000, she was fishing in a swampy area, & heard what she thought was a fish jumping.  When she turned around to look, there it was, a huge Bigfoot!  Needless to say she was terrified.  She made a full report to the game warden & to the local police.

I believe in them, & I think we will see more & more as we run every kind of life out of their natural habitat.  I know my daughter-in-law, & I know that she saw something...

To be honest, Greg and I loved visiting the swampy cypress forest park with its beautiful scenery that gave us one of the biggest adventures of our lives, but neither of us is rushing to go back any time soon.

Paranormal TV Shows

Welcome!

I happened to have Syfy on one morning earlier this week, and a rerun of one of my all-time favorite shows was on, "Haunted Collector."  I feel the show was really well-done and thoroughly entertaining.  They had interesting tidbits like, animal spirits can become attached to objects just as the spirits of people can.  Unbelievably, the show was cancelled late last year.  I recently posted a comment on Syfy's Facebook page that, in my opinion, it shouldn't have been cancelled.  A bunch of other people are of the same opinion.  I think that if we let those responsible for airing these shows know how we feel, maybe we can improve TV, one show at a time.

I also let them know that I was unhappy that "Fact or Faked" had been cancelled.  However, as I did further research, I discovered that maybe there's hope for that show, because as of now, no announcement has been made one way or the other for 2014 for "Fact or Faked."  Hopefully, they'll bring it back this year.  Greg and I both think it's ingenious, the ideas they come up with in the show, to solve the mysteries of  the videos that may or may not have been faked.  Sometime today, after I finish this blog post, I'm going on the "Fact or Faked" Facebook page to offer my support.

Let's let all these networks know how we feel!

In Syfy's favor, we're so happy "Ghost Hunters" and "Paranormal Witness" are still on.  Also, kudos to Syfy for airing "The Twilight Zone," which Greg and I both love.  We've even got "The Twilight Zone" DVD.  I'm planning on getting the rest of the show's episodes soon.

It's not just Syfy that has paranormal shows, as the Travel Channel has two great shows, "Ghost Adventures" and "The Dead Files."  The people on these two shows, as well as the ones I mentioned above, are, to me, just as interesting as the ghosts, etc.

For example, Zack and his team are so funny and entertaining on "Ghost Adventures."

Also, I kept wondering who the guy was on "The Dead Files" who goes through the haunted places and takes down pictures, etc. before Amy Allen does her walks.  I thought they should identify him on the show which, unless I missed something, they don't.  Anyway, I checked "The Dead Files" website where I found out that he's Amy's husband.  He talks about Amy, and what it's like being married to a psychic on a video on the site.  Also, she gives a tour of her hometown, etc.  Very interesting!

To show the popularity of the paranormal right now, even "Animal Planet" has gotten in on the act with their intriguing show, "Finding Bigfoot."

Through the above engrossing, entertaining shows, as well as a few others that I didn't mention, we are given glimpses into a world that for most of us is full of mystery, that would be hard to imagine without some of these great shows which are there for us to see, learn, and enjoy.

May the best paranormal shows always be on TV, as we all try to solve the mysteries of the universe!
