Paranormal Bays Mountain Park!

 Welcome!

A few weeks ago, Greg and I visited Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, which is in East Tennessee. We hadn't been there in several years so we really enjoyed our visit. The park is really beautiful, so we took a lot of pictures, but a few of the photographs showed more than just the park's natural beauty!

Here is one of them-

Greg took the photo above. See if you notice anything unusual, like something paranormal.

This close-up photo should help-

This dead-looking tree (above) appears to be glowing! Psychic Elaine Watson, who helped me interpret the many paranormal photographs in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," (See the widget above.) told me that anytime you see something glowing in a photograph, you can be certain that it is paranormal. (Why is this tree glowing? If Elaine were still with us, I would ask her. Now, we'll just have to use our imaginations to come up with an answer for that one until I can ask another psychic the next time I have a reading with her. Stay tuned!)

As we were leaving the park, I looked over and saw the Appalachian GhostWalks vehicle.

I couldn't imagine why they would be at Bays Mountain Park. Later, when we got back home, I called the park, and asked them if Bays Mountain was haunted since I saw the GhostWalks vehicle there. The woman who answered said that they were there conducting a Cherokee Bigfoot adventure tour in which the participants search for Bigfoot at Bays Mountain Park. I told the woman on the phone that I thought that sounded exciting, and that I would check it out.

Several years ago, Greg and I, along with my mother and brother, all took one of the Appalachian GhostWalks tours in Jonesborough, Tennessee which we all really enjoyed. We were looking for ghosts then, of course, instead of Bigfoot.

News of the Paranormal Kind

Welcome!

Have I got paranormal news for you!

I'm running a little late with this post, but, hopefully, the paranormal info I have will have been worth your wait!

First of all, I have some Bigfoot news!

A Christmas Gift Greg Received from My Brother Nick and His Wife Lisa

"Animal Planet's" "Finding Bigfoot" has moved to a new night. It's now on Thursday nights at 10/9c.

Also, our sister-in-law Betty recently told Greg and me that she got to meet and speak with one of the "Finding Bigfoot" stars Ranae Holland when they were both getting massage muscle therapy in North Carolina one day. The "Finding Bigfoot" team was filming a segment in the Green River Gorge near Hendersonville for a future episode. Ranae felt the need for therapy after hiking and filming there in North Carolina. How lucky was Betty who just happened to be there getting therapy at the same time as Ranae! Betty said she was a nice, friendly person.

Another sister-in-law Cris emailed me something that I didn't know about. It was news from an interesting website, www.americanhauntings.net . To quote from the website, it's had "Haunted History, Books, Tours, & Events since 1993." Check it out!

In that same email she sent, it told about one of the most haunted places in Tennessee (my state) the Old South Pittsburg Hospital. To again quote, "Closed down since 1998, this massive facility has become known for the myriad ghostly tales that haunt its halls." They're having an overnight stay there on April 23, "12 hours, overnight, sundown to sunrise...no way out." (Just like they do on "Ghost Adventures"!)

Speaking of "Ghost Adventures," it's now in reruns on Saturdays on the "Travel Channel", before the new Zak Bagans show, "Deadly Possessions" which is on 9/8c. Each episode of "Deadly Possessions" is about three haunted items and their owners. Zak tries to help the people who have these deadly objects. He hopes in the future to have a museum in Las Vegas full of the haunted items he's been collecting for many years.

That's all of the news of the paranormal kind for now. Please let me know if you have any paranormal news to share.

Thanks for visiting! Until Monday, May 2, 2016, Becky

Paranormal Update

Welcome back!

I'm still very busy with my projects, but I just wanted to fill you in on what all has happened in my paranormal world during the past month.

As you might recall, Greg and I were having some issues, mostly with strange sounds in our house, and even our car horns were blowing on their own.

Our Current House

Over the weekend, I consulted one of my favorite psychics, Ruby, who told me that many of the noises we have heard were unconsciously triggered by Greg and me because we have so much psychic energy!

She also told me several other things about our house which I will detail in another book that I'm currently writing.   Also, in the chapter in my upcoming book about our house, I'll include the intriguing things that our favorite neighborhood psychic told us about the house's history, etc.  With all of the things that went on here, I guess Greg, the cats, and I are actually doing pretty well!

In addition to consulting Ruby this weekend about our house, I also asked her to give her impression of a few photos that looked paranormal that Greg and I had taken during the past four years.  This was the first time since the untimely death of the gifted psychic, Elaine, who expertly interpreted the paranormal photographs for my first book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," that a psychic has given a reading about any of our photos.

We knew how really good Ruby was at interpreting our photographs when, after looking at one of the photos of the Cypress Grove Nature Park in West Tennessee, she said that she saw a skeleton of a monster in the ectoplasm.  If you read my earlier blog posts on 9/5/14 and on 9/13/14, you'll recall that I said that Greg and I were certain that we had heard the sounds of Bigfoot in that very park!  (I get chills as I write this because it brings back my feelings of the day we were there, and Ruby was right on track in her description of the ectoplasmic remains apparently of Bigfoot that could certainly be interpreted as a monster!)

Ruby had no idea what park was pictured.  Besides, to our knowledge, hardly anyone knows that Bigfoot apparently lives right there in that Cypress Swamp, except for the lady that came face-to-face with one which I tell about in my two earlier posts.  Of course, there could also be others who have seen Bigfoot there, but they're probably just keeping quiet about it.

Greg and I now feel even more confident that it was Bigfoot we heard that day in the swamp, that we could have easily had an even closer encounter with it than we did.  If we had, I'd have liked to have taken his or her picture to once and for all prove the existence of such a creature.

I guess I'll just have to be satisfied to have taken a picture of it's spirit as that's a safer alternative than having an actual close encounter with one!

Hopefully, by next time, I can share some big news about my first book, "Close Encounters of the Spirit Kind."

Our Paranormal Adventure in a Park-Part Two

Welcome!

In last week's blog post (September 5, 2014), I wrote about what Greg and I had seen and heard in a park in West Tennessee in August.  Well, on this post, I'm going to tell you "the rest of the story," as news commentator Paul Harvey used to say.

View from an Elevated Boardwalk

At the end of my last week's post, I said that I thought Bigfoot inhabited the cypress forest that we had visited.  I don't say this lightly and without thought, because Greg and I have discussed our visit several times, and we both agreed that everything we saw and heard pointed to Bigfoot living in that park-the lack of wildlife, the sounds we heard of strange barking, knocking, and breaking of twigs and sticks.

I have done even more research since my last post, and I found some things to validate our Bigfoot assumption.

I now know the following facts from my research about Bigfoot:

-Bigfoot has been spotted all around the world, including North America.
-Native Americans knew about Bigfoot before Europeans came to North America.
-(S)he can live in all kinds of different climates and geological regions.
-Bigfoot prefers unpopulated wilderness, like forests!
-Southern swampy areas are good for Bigfoot!
-Tennessee is one of the top ten states for Bigfoot because over fifty percent of the state is forest!
-Bigfoot loves caves, and Tennessee has thousands of caves to live in.
-Bigfoot is believed to be an omnivore.  That means that it eats both plants, and animals!

-This creature can mimic many different sounds.

This last fact is believable to Greg and me because we heard a barking noise that sounded somewhat like a dog, but like Greg told me, the bark didn't sound exactly like a regular dog's bark.

In my research, I came across a barking sound, accompanied by the sound of knocking.  It's on "YouTube," entitled "Breakdown-Bigfoot sounds 2012."  It was amazing to us because that was the sound similar to what we had heard.  (Prior to this You Tube video, we knew from watching the "Animal Planet" hit show, "Finding Bigfoot," the sounds that a Bigfoot is supposed to make, but we weren't aware that barking like a dog was one of them, although we suspected that Bigfoot might be making that noise since it sounded so strange!)

To top off all of this, the best evidence yet that we are on the right track in our beliefs, is this from the website www.bigfootencounters.com:

"Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee  (exactly where Greg and I were!)
June 2000

My daughter-in-law saw what we believe to be a Bigfoot in Jackson, Tn., Madison Co.  In June of 2000, she was fishing in a swampy area, & heard what she thought was a fish jumping.  When she turned around to look, there it was, a huge Bigfoot!  Needless to say she was terrified.  She made a full report to the game warden & to the local police.

I believe in them, & I think we will see more & more as we run every kind of life out of their natural habitat.  I know my daughter-in-law, & I know that she saw something...

Teressa Byrd..."

To be honest, Greg and I loved visiting the swampy cypress forest park with its beautiful scenery that gave us one of the biggest adventures of our lives, but neither of us is rushing to go back any time soon.

If you decide to go there, be ready with a recording device and a camera.  You might just capture something really interesting.  Please email me if you do!

Thanks for visiting!  Until next Saturday, Becky

Our Paranormal Adventure in a Park

Welcome back!

I hope you had a great summer.  I really enjoyed mine, but it was very busy.

On my last blog post (5/12/14), I said that I would resume writing posts for this "Spirit Photographs" blog in September.  Well, September has arrived, and here is my first post since May:

Two or three times a month, Greg and I take a little time off from work to go on little outings, especially during the summer months.  We especially love being outdoors on warm, sunny days.  On one of those excursions, in August, we went to visit Jackson in West Tennessee.  We enjoyed the usual tourist spots, one of which was a park called Cypress Grove Nature Park.  Cypress Grove is a cypress forest and wetlands with raised boardwalks.  The 6,000-foot-long boardwalk winds through the 165-acre forest.

When Greg and I first arrived at the park, we were amazed that there was only one vehicle in the parking lot besides ours.  Sure, it was hot (low 90's), but this was a beautiful day on a weekend during the summer, and admission was free!  We shrugged this off and went on into the park.  We loved how the boardwalk wound us around, further into the forest.

The Beginning of Our Paranormal Adventure into the Forest

We went by raptor cages which housed owls, eagles, and hawks.  We knew someone fed these birds and generally tended to the park, but we saw saw no attendant or park ranger the whole time we were there.

As we made our way into the park, we started hearing noises, like fireworks, gun shots, and/or knocking sounds.  We also heard what sort of sounded like a dog barking in the distance.  But, the thing that was so eerie was the sound of twigs breaking.  What was making them break?  Besides these sounds, we heard nothing else.  It was deadly quiet.

We came upon a sign that said that a lake was 3/8 of a mile ahead.  We felt a little unnerved and discussed what to do.  Should we go forward and see the lake or turn back to the safety of our car?  Just then, we heard voices.  It was the people from the other vehicle.  We briefly talked with them about what was up ahead, and decided to venture forward.  After all, we'd driven all that distance to be there, and we wanted to see all that we had come to see.

We were rewarded for our effort, because the view of the lake was beautiful, and we got some great pictures, especially from the wildlife observation tower.  Some of these pictures were (bet you guessed it!)-paranormal.

We didn't stay in that area very long, for we could hear an approaching storm.  In fact, we ran back most of the way, both to avoid being caught in the rapidly advancing storm and to avoid whatever was making those strange sounds that we had heard earlier in the park.

Looking back on our adventure, we were stunned by the fact that the whole time we were there, besides the birds of prey in their cages, the only wildlife we encountered was a small lizard on the boardwalk railing and a white heron at the lake.  According to one of our brochures, this forest was supposed be "a haven for birds, deer, rabbits, squirrels, minks, raccoons, frogs, and turtles."  Where were they?

What do you think?

Greg and I both decided that Bigfoot might possibly be living in that swampy forest, and, next week, I have some startling evidence to tell you why that assumption might be true.

Please stay tuned!
