Haunted! Tours

If you like visiting haunted places, here are two you might really enjoy-

The first one is near where we live. It's the Octagon Mansion History Museum in Wytheville, Virginia.

However, there is more than just history at this museum. Besides the history museum tours, there are special events and paranormal investigations lead by teams. In fact, on June 11 of this year, there will be a paranormal investigation.

Apparently, the mansion is haunted by the ghost of a little girl who died there of polio in the 1950's.

A couple of weeks ago, Greg and I happened to go by there when the mansion was closed. However, we took some pictures outside, and in one of the photos, we noticed ectoplasm in front of this window-

(So many times, at haunted places, we've seen different types of ectoplasm in windows.)*

We're planning to go back there another time. That should be an interesting adventure!

FYI: The Octagon Mansion History Museum, 585 West Main Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 (The mansion is on Facebook.)

Just recently, my brother and his wife visited the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, West Virginia. There is a historic tour of the facility, as well as a paranormal tour. Many of the mentally ill who were housed there, also died there, so that's why it's so haunted.

Anyone who feels really brave can even spend the night in this haunted place!

My brother sent me an eerie picture that he took of the asylum- (Great photo! Thanks, Nick!)

The Gothic/Tudor style of architecture of the asylum helps make it look really spooky!

Thanks for visiting! Until Saturday, June 18, 2022, Becky
