Christmas Spirits

Welcome!

Last Sunday I published a blog post entitled "The Christmas Spirit" (12/10/17) on my "The Art of Positive Living" blog www.theartofpositiveliving.blogspot.com .

However, today, I'm writing a post on this "Spirit Photographs" blog entitled "Christmas Spirits" because of a photo I took last weekend while visiting historic Franklin, Tennessee which, I believe, is not only a very old town, but it is also a very haunted one!

I took some pictures of different Christmas decorations that I thought I might use on my "The Art of Positive Living" blog sometime, but, after I looked at the shots I had taken, I decided they should be on this "Spirit Photographs" blog instead!

I liked the decorations going up the steps,

and I decided to get a closer shot of the decorations on the door which offered a big surprise upon closer examination-

The lower part of the door was covered in ectoplasm!

I would guess that the owners of this house have had some ghostly problems from the looks of this photo!

Earlier that day, I had taken some photos of an old graveyard which I thought might turn out to be paranormal, but nothing at all showed up, so I just deleted those. Little did I know that just taking pictures of Christmas decorations would produce something supernatural when I least expected it!

Spirits can be anywhere, however; they don't just inhabit graveyards.

For much more about the paranormal, you might enjoy my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," which is available now in paperback or as a kindle download.

This would make a nice, unique Christmas gift for any lover of the supernatural!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!

A Haunted Fall Festival!

Welcome!

On my other blog, "The Art of Positive Living," I recently wrote a post (11/5/17) entitled "Celebrating Fall, Tennessee Style." In that post, I mentioned that Greg and I went to "Pumpkinfest" in Franklin, Tennessee.

www.theartofpositiveliving.blogspot.com

Well, on today's post, I have a picture that I took during that same festival, but this photo, unlike the other photos on that "Positive Living" post, has a paranormal twist to it. We might even say that in some respects, according to this photo, this is a haunted fall festival!

Notice the light (ectoplasm) streaming down the front of this building. Also, just to the right of the streaming light, notice the orbs in front of the tree. (I tried to blot out many of the people's faces in this photo for privacy. Otherwise, all I did to this photo was to crop it some, and I added my watermark.)

Spirits seem to like gatherings of people, where there's a lot of energy, and this festival certainly had that with all that was going on there, plus there were a lot of people that attended this festival.

Besides festivals, other places that spirits like to be are parties, family gatherings, schools, and churches, especially if there is something really special going on like a wedding or a funeral. They even haunt graveyards around monuments and memorials honoring them.

Spirits also like to be around objects like memorabilia or something that was important to them while they were alive.

Our loved ones that have passed on like to be around us.

Talented psychic, Justin Chase Mullins, from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia says, "The Afterlife is not some far away place in the sky. Rather, our loved ones are very near us. You are surrounded by other dimensions and beings."

From the evidence Greg and I get by taking our paranormal photos, I believe the above quote is very true!

In fact, I have written a book on the paranormal, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" that is  available now in paperback or as a kindle download.

Supernatural Cats

Welcome!

Greg and I don't have to go very far to take spirit photos. In fact, we can get plenty of paranormal pictures right around and even in our own house! This blog post mostly deals with cats and the supernatural!

Since "a picture is worth a thousand words," here are two photos that say it all!-

This is the back of our house. I was taking a picture of it to compare its size to the size of Greg's elephant ears plant, but I didn't know there would be ectoplasm in the windows! In fact, there is an image of a ghostly cat's head in the window on the upper right of our house where our cats' room is located!

Speaking of cats, here's a picture of our Kallie, surrounded by orbs!

This is the photo I took of Kallie which I briefly mentioned in my last "Spirit Photographs" blog post (9/16/17). Here, our cat is looking at our neighbor's cat which is outside, and if they ever got together, the fur would fly! With all of that energy, no wonder there are so many orbs! It could even be that the spirits in our house have gathered to watch the furry confrontation.

In my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," there are over 100 of Greg's and my paranormal photographs which gifted Tennessee psychic Elaine Watson (now deceased) so expertly interpreted. Our kitties, Kallie and Mitzi, are featured in several of those photos.

"Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" is available now, either in paperback or as a kindle download.

Be sure to get in on the Halloween fun during the next few days.

Besides trick-or-treating, there are lots of neat things going on around the country.

-WKRN, Nashville, will present "Haunted Tennessee" this Thursday, October 26. Last year's haunted subjects are featured on WKRN's website.

-For all of us "Munsters" fans, there will be a "The Munsters" marathon on Cozi TV this Saturday, October 28.

-There's a "Creepy Hollow Haunted Woods" event in Spring Hill, Tennessee that you might want to check out since it is a well-done production that has been rated "very scary."

-Also, on October 28, there will be a paranormal Halloween investigation at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, Tennessee where you just might see a real ghost!

-Weather.com has "American Super/Natural" videos from 2014 which are weather-related true tales of the supernatural. These are well-done, quite good, and creepy!

Happy Halloween!

Paranormal Phenomena Revealed

Welcome!

On this blog post, I'm featuring my husband, Greg, who recently revealed to me several interesting paranormal incidents or phenomena that he had experienced.

A few days ago, I mentioned to Greg that I didn't really have any significant paranormal experiences or photos to share on my "Spirit Photographs" blog this month, and I casually asked him if he had seen or heard anything strange lately, either at home or at work. I was amazed when he told me of three incidents that had happened as long as a year ago that he hadn't before shared with me.

He said that the most recent paranormal event happened at work. (Greg, as well as others, have seen and heard strange things there before, since that place is apparently very haunted due to the fact that it was the site of a horrific battle during the Civil War.) Greg said that a chain that goes across a handrail started shaking on its own. He had never noticed the chain shaking before. However, the rope across from it wasn't shaking at all! (This reminds me of the plant that shook by itself in my last 8/19/17 "Spirit Photographs" blog post, "Haunted Caretaker's House, and More!".)

Another strange incident that Greg revealed happened around a year ago. One day he was in the hallway of our house. As he walked past our front door which happened to be open, the storm door handle suddenly started moving up and down by itself for several seconds!

Finally, the last paranormal event is apparently ongoing. Greg said that several times he noticed something like ectoplasm floating around our living room lampshade! This phenomenon occurs late at night while most of the lights are off. This is unusual for us since the only ectoplasm we have ever seen in the past is in our photos, not with our naked eyes.

I started wondering what was going on with the lampshade, and then I happened to remember what a psychic medium that I had contacted after my mother passed away had said. She told me that my mother's spirit likes one of our lamps. At the time of the reading, I had thought that it was probably the pink antique lamp which we have upstairs that she liked, but now I know it is this one with the ectoplasm which used to belong to my mother.

I have yet to see the floating ectoplasm although I looked a couple of times. I'll let you know in a future blog post if and when I eventually see it myself.

Lamp As It Normally Looks

Here, above, Greg is beside the same lamp which has what appears to be ectoplasm. However, we are unable to get a picture of the floating ectoplasm around the lampshade since it's almost in total darkness when it occurs.

Greg hadn't told me about the above paranormal incidents sooner because either he'd just forgotten about them, and/or he'd thought that maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him.

Greg seems to be very psychic. He has seen at least one ghost which I mention in my paranormal book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," available now, either in paperback or as a kindle download on Amazon.

Paranormal incidents are very unpredictable! Case in point: While I was taking a break from writing this blog post, I noticed that our neighbor's cat was looking in the window from outside at our cats that were inside. I thought it would be cute to take a picture of these cats looking at each other. With the photo I took, I got much more than I bargained for! I'll share it on my next month's "Spirit Photographs" blog post! Please stay tuned!

Haunted Caretaker's House, and More!

Welcome!

This month, I have a couple of really creepy happenings to share with you. I'm usually not affected by the paranormal things I come across, but for some reason I feel really uneasy about what I'm about to tell you-

Fist of all, a few weeks ago, Greg and I visited an absolutely breathtaking state park here in Tennessee on a beautiful day. This was a place we had never before visited, and we enjoyed exploring around.

It wasn't long until we came upon an old house in which a caretaker of the park had once lived, but it was now vacant since the caretaker had died. I told Greg that if I were the deceased caretaker, I would want to still live here, that I'd haunt this place. It suddenly occurred to me that the place probably was haunted!

Greg suggested we take pictures. Why not, since that's what we so often do, especially since it looked like the perfect place for a haunting!

I took out my camera which I always carry with me when I go out, and started taking several pictures.

Here's one of the typical photos that I took-

It looks like ectoplasm in the trees above the old house.

Also, I half-jokingly asked any spirits there to start rocking in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, when suddenly one of the plants in the foreground started shaking on its own like the wind was blowing it even though there was no wind, and none of the other plants near it moved. I figured that moving a plant was easier for a spirit to do than moving a rocking chair! Apparently, the spirit wanted us to know that it was there.

Then, Greg asked to borrow my camera (He hadn't brought his.) since he wanted to see if he could catch anything paranormal.

Here's what he got-

While he was taking pictures, the camera started malfunctioning, and the photos turned out to be blurred. It took him a while to get the camera functioning normally again! I thought maybe the battery had gotten low, but later we were able to take more photos just fine.

Our conclusion is that this area is most certainly haunted! Let's put it this way, I sure wouldn't want to be there after dark!

Another photo in the realm of the supernatural is from my brother, Nick, of his wife, Lisa, and their cat, Whiskers.

Here is part of the email Nick sent to me, explaining the above photo-

"I'm attaching a pic showing Whiskers going berserk near the computer: Lisa was looking at your paranormal blog and he started jumping around, trying to get to the screen. He has never acted like that before! It's like he sensed something weird going on with what she was reading! Strange!"

(Guess you already knew that animals are very psychic!)

This is strange! Thank you all for sharing!

The blog post Lisa was reading was my April 15, 2017 "Spirit Photographs" post, "An Enlightening Psychic Reading."

Paranormal Activity

Welcome!

The third Saturday of every month, I write about paranormal activity on this "Spirit Photographs" blog. Thankfully, I don't have to wring my hands and rack my brain trying to figure out what to write about since there always seems to be plenty of paranormal activity going on around Greg and me to discuss!

This blog post is no exception...

First of all, Greg and I really enjoy going to various parks in the summer. Just a few weeks ago, we went to Chickasaw Trace Park which is close to where we live. We took several photos as we usually do whenever we go somewhere.

No matter where I took pictures in the park, ectoplasm kept showing up in my photos. This same phenomenon occurred once before when we took pictures there.

                                                     Haunted? Chickasaw Trace Park

What is the cause of the ectoplasm in the photos in this park? Is it because of the Native Americans who passed on, or is it the spirits of animals, fish, and birds? Does the sheer beauty of this place cause many spirits to be attracted to it?

Greg and I have the ability to take paranormal photos, but we don't have the ability to interpret them. I discuss this in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" which has around 100 paranormal photos mostly taken by Greg and me. (It's available on both "Amazon" and "FastPencil.")

Also, there are a couple of other strange things that have occurred the past few weeks-

Greg was by himself at work one evening, and while he was in the break room, he suddenly heard an unusual loud noise. It sounded as if someone had thrown a large rubber mat on the floor right behind him. He looked around the whole area to see what might have caused the noise, and no one was there, and nothing had moved as far as he could tell! He wasn't very surprised as he and other people have seen and heard weird things there at work several times before.

Greg has a good idea on why the place where he works might be haunted. The building there is on the  battlefield of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War!

A few days ago, it was my mother's birthday. Although she passed on two years ago, I took time to speak to her spirit, to wish her a happy birthday and to send her our love.

I didn't think any more about it, and I started doing some chores. I was heating up some food in the oven, and I set the timer for six minutes. I started working on something else, and in a few minutes, I wondered why the timer hadn't gone off. I looked at the timer to see what was going on, and it was on 0709, my mother's birth date! I guess that was her way of saying she had heard me, and that she appreciated our birthday wishes. It made me feel happy and reassured.

All paranormal activity need not be scary because it's actually normal occurrences that we just don't fully understand. It's a mystery yet to be solved. That's why the paranormal is so totally intriguing!

More next month!

Haunted Waverly Mansion, West Point, Mississippi

Welcome!

And...

A few weeks ago, Greg and I got to visit a beautiful historic, antebellum home, Waverly Mansion, in West Point, Mississippi. A visitor can tour the home just for its beauty and historic significance, or do like Greg and I did, tour the old plantation house from a mostly paranormal perspective.

Waverly Mansion

Right off, before we even entered the home for our tour, we noticed the ectoplasm around the cupola in this picture I'd just taken. That alone told us that this place was really haunted!

Also, notice the ectoplasm in the upper left-hand part of the photo (below) of the trees on the grounds of the mansion.

Our tour guide, Jimmy, along with Midnight the cat and Talula the dog met us in front of the house.

The interior of the house is quite impressive.

According to Jimmy, one of the ghosts haunting Waverly is that of a little girl, Cynthia Hampton, who fell to her death on this stairway.

Little Cynthia's ghost has been seen lying on the bed in the red room (above) by a least one visitor.

Notice the ectoplasm on the right side of the railing which is just outside the red room.

A woman who lived in this house died in this bedroom. Her ghost was seen by another tour guide walking from her bedroom toward the front door. Instead of using the door, she simply walked through the wall!

Greg is standing in the very same hallway where the woman's ghost was seen walking from her room toward the front door.

More strange occurrences-

A previous tour guide saw this brass bucket move several times on its own. It was twirling, etc.

Notice the obvious ethereal pastel-colored ectoplasm in this photo. It was in this area that the family had baptisms, weddings, wakes, and funerals. With all of the emotion associated with this area, no wonder there is ectoplasm there!

The reflections in this mirror look pretty creepy, but I'm not sure if it's just light from the windows, or ectoplasm. (However, it was pretty dark outside that day due to rainy conditions, and it was late in the afternoon so I don't really believe it was due to the lighting conditions.)

My only disappointment was that I wasn't allowed to use the flash with my camera. If I had, I'm sure I could have captured more weird things like grids in the many mirrors there.

(I discuss and show grids along with many other psychic phenomena in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" which can be ordered from Amazon or from the widget above.)

There are several more ghostly stories about this very haunted place, but I'll leave those for you to discover for yourself!

More interesting facts about Waverly Mansion-
-The name Waverly came from Sir Walter Scott's novel, "Waverly" which was in the library at Waverly Mansion.
-The mansion has been featured in "Home and Garden" magazine and on "Larry King Live," among others.
-"TripAdvisor gave Waverly Mansion a "Certificate of Excellence."
-Greg and I found out about Waverly from a DVD entitled "Hauntings in America" that I had given Greg as a gift.
-Our tour guide, Jimmy, said that in all the years he's been giving tours there that he has never seen or heard or felt anything strange. (Which is probably a good thing!) Even when some ghost hunters were there and noticed that the temperature quickly dropped in one area of the house, Jimmy said he didn't feel anything.

Greg and I would like to thank Jimmy for being an excellent tour guide which made our visit there very memorable!

Paranormal Cat Photos and Paranormal Info

Welcome!

This month, there are a couple of interesting paranormal news items and a couple of paranormal photos I'd like to share with you.

First of all, on my last "Spirit Photographs" blog post (the 4/15/17 post), I told about our two cats, Mitzi and Kallie, hanging out around pictures of my family members, many of whom are deceased. I showed a picture of Mitzi, but not of Kallie since I didn't have one then, but I do now!

Here's our calico, Kallie, comfortably lying in front of a painting of my mother that my father painted of her many years ago.

The next photo features our tabby, Mitzi, asleep on a love seat.

The ectoplasm in this photo is pretty obvious. It was, of course daylight, but there was no sunlight streaming though the window. There is apparently at least one highly spiritual entity here, as evidenced by the violet color above Mitzi.

Here is some paranormal info you might find interesting:

First of all, there is a lovely old house in McMinnville, Tennessee that is more than it seems. If you guessed that it was haunted, you'd be right! In fact, "Falcon Rest Mansion & Gardens" is having "its first-ever overnight tag-along ghost hunt on Sat., July 1," to quote the website. (Believe me, it is haunted, as I got a couple of paranormal photos outside of the old mansion when Greg and I visited a few years ago.)

It's actually a B&B with a tearoom and a gift shop, etc., and they have all kinds of special events going on at different times during the year. There's something for everyone!

FYI:

Finally, a friend sent me this link to a great travel website that has a really informative article about the famous "Bell Witch" from the "creepy" small town of Adams, Tennessee that seems to have a lot of paranormal activity.

Check it out, if you dare!

An Enlightening Psychic Reading

Welcome!

On my last two "Spirit Photographs" blog posts, I mentioned that I was trying to get in touch with a psychic for a reading, and a few days ago, I did just that, finally!

The psychic that did my phone reading is very talented. Not only is she clairvoyant (seeing), clairaudient (hearing), and clairsentient ((feeling), but she is also a psychic medium, as well.

I was really pleased with how well the reading went. I had several questions for her since I don't contact psychics as much as I used to.

One of the first questions I asked her was what our two cats, Kallie and Mitzi, see when they seem to be staring into space, looking at something I can't see. Her answer was, not surprisingly, spirits.

One really eerie thing that has been happening recently with our cats is that at bedtime, Greg and I notice that Mitzi has been hanging out on our third floor (which we mostly use for storage) near a photo collage I made in memory of my mother for her funeral which features pictures of her and several of her family members and friends.

Mitzi, Lying in Front of Collage

Also, Mitzi sometimes lies in front of a large painting my father did of Mama many years ago that we have standing up on the floor near the collage. Mitzi is a very social cat that loves being around people, and now apparently spirits, since the psychic said that some of the spirits featured in the collage like to be near the collage and the painting!

A few nights ago, I was looking for Kallie, and I saw her lying in front of the painting of Mama, as well! Kallie copies Mitzi a lot, and I guess she didn't want to be outdone by her!

Also, the psychic answered a couple of  questions I had about Greg-

I mentioned to her about Greg seeing a UFO a few weeks ago (Please see my 3/25/17 blog post for more details.), and she said that it definitely was a space-alien craft, but it was a friendly visit, and that it was an honor that Greg got to see it!

Another really weird thing that happened a few weeks ago was that Greg was in his car, and as he was making a turn to the left, he noticed a girl walking beside the road who was wearing tights and a shirt, and she was carrying a cell phone. After he made the turn, he said that he looked in the rear view mirror, and she wasn't there where she should have been!

I asked the psychic about the incident, and she said that it was a spirit, and that the veil between our world and the spirit world was growing thinner. She said that Greg is pretty psychic, and that we can all see more if we're open to it. Be grateful for seeing more.

The reading was excellent, and Greg and I learned a lot from it.

I just wanted to share with you some good news about my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind." A woman from a publishing company emailed me and said that my book was one of only ten books in my genre that was selected by their literary book scouts to be included in a large upcoming book fair here in the United States because it was of such "good quality." She said my book was very relevant for today. I may decide not to do it, but I feel it was such an honor just to be asked.

Happy Easter!

Strange (Paranormal?) Things in the Sky!

Welcome!

Last week, I mentioned that I was going to share with you the results of a psychic reading, but I still haven't gotten to do that yet. However, I feel sure that I'll get to share that with you for our next regularly scheduled "Spirit Photographs" blog post on Saturday, April 15.

In the meantime, never fear, I still have something else paranormal to tell you about that happened several days ago.

One morning, I looked out the kitchen window and noticed several jet trails crossing over each other. I told Greg, and he grabbed his camera and took the photo below.

This is weird because normally contrails don't hang in the air that long, nor do several cross over each other in that manner.

Even stranger is that when Greg got to work later that day, he said that he saw a lot more of these contrails in the formation of a grid!

But wait, even more weird was the fact that when Greg got to work the very next day, he looked out the window and saw something else strange in the sky. He grabbed some nearby binoculars, and he and a coworker ran out to see what it was.

Greg said that there was an object up high in the sky which was the size of somewhere between that of a hang glider and a small plane. It was shaped like a peanut, and it was white and sparkled in the sun. Suddenly, it started twisting and turning, and then it changed into a triangular shape, and finally disappeared.

Greg and his coworker didn't know what to think about this strange phenomenon. They were stunned. The coworker said that he'd never before believed in UFO's, but he might just change his opinion after seeing that!

Please stay turned for more of the unexplained!

Questions for a Psychic

Welcome!

I had hoped to have a post about answers to the questions that I had asked one of my favorite psychics, but so far I've been unable to get in touch with her. I'm going to try again next week, and if I'm successful, I'll tell you about her psychic reading either next Friday, March 24 or Saturday, March 25.

Some of my questions are:

-Is my husband's workplace haunted?
-What is it that our cats see in the living room and in the adjacent hallway at night that we can't see?
-What are my loved ones who have passed on doing now?

Please stay tuned for the intriguing answers to these and other questions. She's a psychic medium, so this post should be really good!

Thanks for visiting, Until next time, Becky

The Paranormal-What to Write About?

Welcome!

The last couple of weeks, I've been in a quandary about what to write for this blog post. Usually, there are at least two or three paranormal photos that I've taken in a month's time, but this past month, I've been busy with other projects, so that's why I have nothing to show as far as paranormal photos go.

Just last week, I told Greg that I had no idea about what to write since basically nothing paranormal had happened.

Well, a few days ago, all that changed. Bam, bam, bam! One after another, strange things started to happen. It's just as if the spirits were saying to me, "We want you to know that we are always around even though you may not be aware of us!"

Things tend to happen in three's, and these paranormal occurrences are no exception-

-I had been on an organizing job at someone's house, and I always take my hand soap with me in case I need it since I have very sensitive skin. When I got home, I couldn't find it anywhere, but a few days later, it turned up in one of my carrying cases, wedged among some other things, upside down, and some of it had even spilled out. I never would have put it in the case like that, and I can't understand why I hadn't seen it earlier.

-A couple of days later, I was fixing supper in our kitchen, when I heard a sound behind me that was coming from the dining room. It sounded like some glassware hitting against each other. Immediately, a went to the dining room, thinking the cats were jumping around in there, but there was not a cat to be found!

Glassware on Buffet in Dining Room

-Finally, just last night, I was watching a TV show that I really like, so I sat on the coffee table in our living room so I could see it better, so I wouldn't miss anything. Right behind me, it sounded like one of our cats jumped off the couch onto the floor, but when I looked around, Mitzi was sound asleep on the back of the couch, and Kallie was in the dining room, quietly lying on the rug.

A few minutes later, I noticed Mitzi quickly jumping off her perch on the couch. As she looked toward the dining room, she acted like she was stalking something. I thought she was after Kallie, but she wasn't. Kallie had since moved into the living room. Mitzi sat on the floor and intently stared toward the dining room for several minutes. I saw nothing. (Our two cats seem to be very psychic, and they see a lot of stuff we miss. Wonder what Mitzi saw?)

My psychic ability often manifests, of course, when I'm taking pictures. Also, I do sometimes hear strange things, and sometimes I have psychic dreams, but to my knowledge, I have never seen a ghost or a spirit with my own eyes. Keep in mind, however, that it is possible, to see and even talk with spirits that you mistake for real flesh and blood people!

Psychic ability takes many forms, and we're all psychic to a certain extent, but I have no idea what is behind the incidents above which I described. So, in a few days, I might consult with a psychic that does readings, to find out exactly what is going on.

If I found out anything noteworthy, I'll mention it on next month's blog post.

I recently found an interesting website-
 http://www.ranker.com/list/the-best-paranormal-television-tv-shows-and-series/reference

TV fans can go on that site and vote for their favorite TV shows, including the paranormal ones.

Around 90 paranormal shows were listed to vote on. "Ghost Adventures" was number one.

Strangely, some of the most popular shows like "Ghost Hunters" (no. 3) and "The Haunted Collector" (no. 11) have been cancelled. What are these networks thinking?

I think that "Finding Bigfoot" should be ranked higher than 43. In my opinion, that show gets better with every season.

I believe I'll go to that website soon and vote for my favorites. Maybe voting will positively influence the networks to keep showing, and even put back on, the best programs.

Happy voting!

Paranormal Book and Other Paranormal Info

Welcome!

Starting today, the third Saturday of each month is when I'll publish my "Spirit Photographs" blog post, at least for now.

If you enjoy my "Spirit Photographs" posts, I'd like to recommend my paranormal book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," which is full of paranormal photos, most of which my husband, Greg, and I took. Many of the photos were taken in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, and some were taken in other states and in Europe.

There are also true ghostly stories in the book, about events that happened to Greg and me, as well as to others we know.

The book even includes the regionally famous June Tolliver House ghost photo which my brother, Nick, took when he was a school boy.

Some other paranormal info:

My sister-in-law Cris sent me a copy of the online paranormal newsletter she gets, "American Hauntings Ink," which is from the paranormal website www.americanhauntings.net

The website features ghost books, ghost hunts, ghost tours, and various other paranormal events.

Their current newsletter tells all about their upcoming ghost hunts, etc., including "Night at Fox Hollow Farm" in Carmel, Indiana in April, and "The Dead of Winter Festival" in February. These events are not for the faint of heart! (Many of these events are already sold out since they are so popular! Don't worry, however, if you miss out on these that are listed because "American Hauntings" offers these tours, etc. all year long.)

I recently discovered an intriguing ghost-hunter television show "Paranormal Lockdown" which stars Nick Groff, who used to be on "Ghost Adventures." It's on TLC on Friday nights at 9/8C. You just might want to check it out, if you  haven't already. Hope you don't get too scared!

The Latest on the Paranormal, Including Photos

Welcome!

I have several things I'd like to share with you on this post.

First of all, I have a fake paranormal photo I'd like to share with you. I had thought it was real at first, until I investigated it a little further.

Greg and I had just gotten back from a trip on a rainy night. When Greg got out of the car, he said that there was an armadillo near our backyard fence. I got all excited about it since I'd never seen one, so, of course, I pulled out my camera to get a picture of the little guy. The following photo is what I got-

I never did see the armadillo in the picture; guess he was too fast for me!, but I did get these weird lights that looked like streaks of ectoplasm. I was sure I'd gotten something unusual until I analyzed the photo. In my haste to capture my subject, I had jerked the camera, and the streaks of light were just street and house lights in the background.

However, most of the time, the paranormal photos that Greg and I take are a hundred percent real!

For example, here is a paranormal photo I took a few weeks ago of Greg standing in front of "Homestead Manor" in Thompson Station, Tennessee-

Notice the fuzzy ectoplasm at the top of the photo.

I obviously took this picture in the daytime, using no flash. This haunted mansion is an easy target since it is so haunted! I wrote about it on my "Spirit Photographs" blog last year. It's the 7/2/16 post entitled "Haunted Homestead Manor."

Our sister-in-law Cris wants us to go visit Tombstone, Arizona which is one of her favorite places since it is apparently so full of ghosts. (She's really into the paranormal just like Greg and I are.) We're seriously considering it! Should be really interesting !

Also, Greg and I are looking forward to the season premiere of "Finding Bigfoot" on "Animal Planet" starting tomorrow night (1/08/17) at 9:00 PM EST. It's supposed to be in North Carolina near the Appalachian Trail. Fans of the show will get a real treat tomorrow since it will be on all day starting in the morning! Enjoy!

Important notice: I want you to know that starting this month, the "Spirit Photographs" blog post will be the third Saturday of each month instead of the first Saturday.

(My other blog, "The Art of Positive Living" will be the first Sunday of each month only, starting February 5. However, my already scheduled Sunday, January 15 post will be posted as planned.)

Thanks for visiting! Until Saturday, January 21, 2017. Becky
