"Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," from the Heart

Welcome!

On this blog post, I want to share with you, from my heart, a little of the behind-the-scenes part of my paranormal book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind."

"Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" is a paranormal book containing around 110 paranormal photographs that were taken by me, my husband, my brother, and a couple of other people we know.  They are one hundred percent real, taken from our many photo albums we'd compiled throughout the years.  (One day, after going through these albums, I decided these would be great published in a book.)

We aren't professional photographers with any special skills; we're just ordinary people who've had extraordinary encounters with the spirit world through the pictures we've taken.

Being able to take pictures like this is a psychic gift; instead of seeing and hearing spirits like some psychics, we just take pictures of them.

I've had mixed reactions about my book since it first came out.

Many people I know have just tried to ignore it (even people I've given it to as a gift!-no thank you, nothing), It's like they're hoping it will just go quietly into the night and disappear.  This reaction could be due to fear of the unknown-or you name it!

Others have been very supportive-complimentary, encouraging.  Some have thought I was very brave for presenting this book to the world.  (I appreciate the compliment, but I just had a story to tell, and I was determined to tell it, no matter what!)

Today, I just want to thank all of you who have been positive toward me and my first paranormal book.  (I hope to have another true paranormal book out whenever I get everything compiled and written.)

Thanks to any of you who have helped promote "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" in any way-through reading my blog, buying my book, giving likes on Facebook, selling my book in your shops, telling others about my book, etc.

I'm just one person trying to get the word out in my own way about the spirit world being real.  It's not all evil.  There are good and bad spirits there just as there are good and bad people here.  (My husband and I have a couple of spirits living in our home right now that are attached to two of our antiques.  They don't bother us, and we don't bother them.  We're all getting along just fine!)

I'm just a little first-time author with no connection to big-time publishing companies, book stores, television networks, or the good-ol'-boy/girl network, etc. who needs your help!  Thanks so much for your support!

Another Strange Incident

Welcome!

It seems that I'll just be doing normal, everyday things like moving a few things from one room to another when suddenly something strange happens.  That happened to me a few days ago.  I decided to finish getting myself ready for the day in our downstairs bathroom, so I gathered a few items I needed and temporarily lay them on top of a chest, and went back for a couple of more items.  When I got back to my first group of items, I was amazed to see a small container where I keep a few of my earrings, etc. precariously perched on the edge of a white basket.  Although I had only gotten about five hours of sleep the night before, I thought that I surely wasn't that far gone, to have placed the small container the way it was sitting.  I'm always careful, because I hate for stuff to fall on the floor, and I can't imagine placing the container like that.  I asked Greg if he had moved any of my stuff, and he said that he hadn't.

If I didn't do it and Greg didn't do it, then there was only one more explanation, and it wasn't a normal one.-It had to be paranormal!  It seems that the paranormal has become the new norm in our new house.

The room where I'd placed these things does have a haunted piece of furniture in it; I know that as a fact, because a visiting psychic saw the spirit in that very room next to her apparently favorite piece of furniture.  I'm going to tell everything the psychic told us (It's fascinating!) in another paranormal book I'm currently writing.

Anyway, I do believe that this spirit moved the small container to the place I found it sitting.  Why?  Who knows?  Maybe she wanted to let us know that she was still in the house or maybe she just wanted a little excitement or attention.

That's okay.  After my initial shock wore off, it really didn't bother me.  She seems harmless enough.  However, if things things ever stop being harmless, that piece of furniture is out of our house-heirloom or not!

The Latest on the Paranormal

Welcome!

I just wanted you to know the latest happenings in the paranormal world, mine and beyond.

First of all, I had a weird incident happen earlier this week while I was by myself one night.  (To appreciate this more, you might want to refer back to my story and picture in my March 22, 2014 post entitled "Haunted Living Room.")

Anyway, like Paul Harvey used to say on his old radio show, "Here's a strange!"-I was sitting on our living room couch as I do almost every night, doing some paper work.  Our cat Kallie was lying in the big chair and our other cat Mitzi was up on the back of our couch on the extreme right from where I was sitting in the middle.  Both cats were asleep.  Suddenly, I hear the distinct meow of a cat directly behind my head.  I turned to look around, thinking that Mitzi had moved from her spot on the couch, but she had not moved at all.  It was like one of our cats had thrown its voice.  I remained calm, as I have learned to expect the unexpected, in this house, as well as about everywhere else as far as the paranormal goes.  I thought about it and figured that it might have been either our cat that had passed away a few years before or a spirit cat that was just passing through.

Tonight, Friday, April 4 at 10/9 c on "Destination America" is the season two premier of "Mountain Monsters" which is about Appalachian hillbilly investigators in West Virginia.  I've never seen the show since we don't get that channel, but I really enjoyed the videos on the "Destination America" website.
