Paranormal Update

Welcome!

I just wanted to update you on some different paranormal things that are going on, in my world, and beyond.

-I mentioned, a few weeks ago, on my blog post (the March 10, 2014 post) that my brother, Nick, spent the night in the haunted Pine Crest Inn in Tryon, North Carolina, but only got a picture of an orb.  He may get to go back there soon, and if and when he does, he's determined to get more evidence that the place is truly haunted.  I'll update you on that, if he captures anything significant.

-My book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" is also an e-book on Fast Pencil for only $9.99.  Just click on the widget above for more information.

-Just 15 more likes on my "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" Facebook page, and we'll be at 100 likes.  When that happens, I'll let you know about a contest I'm sponsoring that you might be interested in.  I'd really appreciate your like, and my thanks to any of you who have already done so!

-Please do check out my Facebook page, if you haven't already.  There may be some things on there that you might be interested in, including a couple of scary paranormal videos.

-I wonder if you've seen "Mysteries at the Museum."  It's a pretty neat show on "Travel Channel," with topics such as the Phoenix lights, Santa Cruz sea serpent, and Yeti, among others.  (The topics are not always paranormal, but many are.)  Check your local listings for time and channel.

Haunted Living Room

Welcome!

I have written on previous blog posts about our new house being haunted, because of the strange things we have seen and heard.

I am beginning to think that our living room is the most haunted room in our house.  As I mentioned on a earlier post, we had a local psychic tour our home, to see what she thought about some of the unusual things that were going on.  She said that our living room was a "passby room" through which spirits roamed.

Haunted Living Room

Because of the nature of Greg's job, I sometimes have to be by myself late at night.  After I do my evening chores, I sit on the couch in our living room, to make plans for the following day.  Most of the time, our calico cat, Kallie, comes and curls up on my lap while I am working.  Before she settles down, she'll stare above my head around the area of the large painting on the wall behind where I'm sitting.  Her eyes dart three or four places, like she's looking at different things, but she doesn't seem alarmed; she just merely observes, studies everything for a few moments, and then she's ready for her nap.  It's a little unnerving when she does this, for I have no idea what (or who!) she's seeing.  I guess I'll need to consult a psychic about that one!

Then, just yesterday, Greg and I had a couple of visitors in the evening.  We were all in the living room.  Greg and I were standing, facing the couch, while the two ladies were seated, one in the large chair and the other on the couch.  Suddenly, the woman on the couch grabbed her right shoulder and said, "Something just touched my shoulder," as she quickly turned her head to see who the culprit might have been.  I said that I guessed that she was thinking that it might have been one of our cats, as I tried to make casual conversation.  Her friend tried to blame the feeling of being touched on the woman's long hair hitting her shoulder.  (We all do try to come up with  logical explanations for the unexplained things that happen in our lives.)  Then, without thinking, I blurted out that our house was haunted, in a half-joking tone, as I tried to bring closure to all of this.  However, the two ladies didn't hang around much longer after that!

Greg and I were probably as taken aback as the woman was that this had happened.  Personally, we thankfully have never experienced being touched by anything in the unseen, in our house or anywhere else, and we certainly hope that we never will be.  (However, you just don't know about things like this, because the paranormal is usually so darn unpredictable!)

Paranormal Potpourri

Welcome:

First of all, I'd like to correct something I had on last week's blog post, "Paranormal Tidbits."  I stated that "William Shatner's Weird or What?" was on "National Geographic Channel" on Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM.  However, I misread it.  It is actually on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 AM.  I couldn't believe it, because when Greg and I, merely by chance, saw it a week or so ago, it was on at night.  I can't understand why they're not making more episodes of that good quality show that is now relegated to reruns in a morning time spot.  Maybe it was too controversial!

There are two really good shows that Greg and I watch that are on consistently in their time slots every week on "Travel Channel," "Dead Files" on Friday nights and "Ghost Adventures" on Saturday nights.  I've always liked things that you can depend on!

Also, on last week's post, I mentioned that we had spent the night in a B & B where I got a picture of a bed with red ectoplasm on the floor, and I had thought that perhaps there were other paranormal pictures of the B & B, as well.  I've since carefully looked at some other pictures I took while we were there.  I found that several anomalies showed up that I hadn't noticed earlier.  In fact, a couple were quite unusual.  I decided to devote a whole chapter in my next book to this apparently very haunted B & B.

Greg, at the Door of the Haunted B & B

The honest truth is that Greg and I have consistently noticed that it's often harder to get good paranormal pictures of places that advertise that they are haunted (unless perhaps you happen to be experienced ghost hunters, which we don't pretend to be!)  Most of the time, we find a lot more paranormal phenomena in the average B & B (as they are usually pretty old), in places of business, in other people's homes, and in our own backyard!

Food-for-thought paranormal quote: "I don't believe that ghosts are 'spirits of the dead' because I don't believe in death.  In the multiverse, once you're possible, you exist.  And once you exist, you exist forever one way or another.  Besides, death is the absence of life, and the ghosts I've met are very much alive.  What we call ghosts are lifeforms just as you and I are."

Paranormal Tidbits

Welcome!

On this blog post I'd like to share with you a few things that are going on in the paranormal world, mine and beyond.

Here are my paranormal tidbits:

-First of all, I'm still working on improving my psychic ability so I can take even more, better paranormal photos.

I am doing better on my psychic photography as the above photo shows, because I'm working on improving my health and taking more flash pictures.  This was in a B&B where Greg and I stayed Saturday night.

-I'm also writing on my second paranormal book which will be published in 2015.  (That's just next year!)  I'll have more pictures of the above B&B, as well as many others.

-I just talked with my brother, Nick, who's featured in my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind," and he told me that he and his wife just returned from a trip to one of the most haunted inns in America, the Pine Crest Inn in Tryon, North Carolina.  What made the overnight stay so scary was that they were the only ones staying in the inn that night.  Even the desk clerk had gone home!  They did manage to sleep through the night and didn't see or hear anything strange, but Nick did get a picture of an orb in the hall outside their room.  He said that he was going to scan through his camera and cell phone camera soon, and see if he could detect any more anomalies.

-Greg and I just recently saw " William Shatner's Weird or What?", a show about ghosts, automatic writing, and other weird, paranormal types of topics.  It's on the "National Geographic Channel" on Wednesdays at 8:00 AM.  It's a great show if you love the mysterious as Greg and I do.

Let's Spread the Word About Genuine Paranormal Photography, Etc.

Welcome!

Color Photograph Version from my Book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind"

It seems that whenever I search online about spirit photography, websites that come up most of the time are about someone like medium/spirit photographer William Hope from the early twentieth century who faked his photos using double exposure.

Also, I recently noticed that there's a new app out that you can use to fake spirit photos to scare and amaze all of your friends.  (As if we all need help with this, and that none of us can take spirit photos without their being fake!  The truth is that we're all capable if doing such things, if we just believe we can!)

These types of things make people think that all spirit photographs are fake.  That's just not so!  I have one book ( I'm also working on another one.) that is filled with genuine paranormal photographs that were taken by me, as well as some other people.  They were taken using nothing more than natural psychic ability.  No wonder there's so much skepticism among the general population with all the info about people faking photos.

People need to be re-educated about the fact that the spirit world is real, and that many of the spirits want to communicate and can sometimes be heard, seen, felt, and...photographed!

I'm trying, with this blog and with my "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" Facebook page, to help make more people aware of the spirit world, mainly through spirit photography.  I'm planning to be even more diligent in that effort from now on.  I'm going to feature what I believe to be genuine spirit photographs, interesting websites, etc. much more often on my Facebook page, as well as to continue my posts here on my blog.

I would really appreciate it if you could send me any photos or interesting paranormal websites you might like to share with us on this blog.

I personally admire websites like www.ghostsnghouls.com (with their true ghost stories and photos, etc.), the TV show "Ghost Hunters," and paranormal investigation groups like the "Black Mountain Paranormal Society," among others.

Let's all try to support anyone out there who is trying to get the truth out about true ghostly encounters or any type of information that would enlighten others about anything genuinely paranormal!

Also, I would truly appreciate your spreading the word about my book, "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" and to "like" my "Photographic Encounters of the Spirit Kind" Facebook page.

Thanks for visiting!  My next blog post may possibly be next Monday.

Love and appreciation, Becky
